Question question on blood pressure monitors

DH and I both need to monitor our blood pressure.

We have this monitor.

Life-Source UA-767 Blood Pressure Monitor from ActiveForever.com

My question is how do I know what to set the "pressure" reading at? The choices are 150, 180, 210, 240.

I took my blood pressure this morning set at 180 and got a reading of 140/70. I waited 10 minutes and took it set at 210 and got 120/68 -- so obviously it makes a difference what the pressure is set at

I can't find anything in the little instruction booklet that tells how to determine what to set the pressure at.

My BP band sets itself.

The link you gave has an 800 # and an email button for help. Try that as you want exactly the right info, not one of us guessing.

I should stop playing on the computer and go exercise so my BP is good!!

My doctor told me to set it to 50 points higher than my avg. systolic (top) number, so if your reading was 140, you would set it for either 180 or 210. A couple of things to remember when you take your blood pressure, it is usually highter in the mornings or right after you exercise, which is why you should take it a few times during the day and keep a log to get an average. Also, make sure your arm is level with your heart to get an accurate reading.

Thanks, that helps a lot.

I did try emailing the company, but got no response.

I also tried calling the 800 number but could never get through.
