Any good birthday ideas for a man?

We have a last minute party to go to tonight for a friend's husband, who's turning about 32 (not sure exactly). If I had time to go to the mall I had an idea, but there's no time today for that.

Does anyone else have any good quick ideas? I was trying to stay away from gift cards.

HELP!!

How about a goody bag? ROTFLMAO!

Seriously, is it a big gift kind of thing? If not, I'd go with a bottle of whatever you know he drinks or even a nice jar of nuts...cashews...pistachios....what man doesn't like nuts? None that I know...

Good one!! I'll ask if we're getting them tonight!

I wasn't even thinking DH comes home past a mall, I asked him to stop and pick something up for him. I would rather do an actual gift, I always spend more on a gift card.

If anyone has a good idea I am still open to suggestions, DH isn't thrilled to have to go to the mall.

I always give them something to do with their hooby: fishing, hunting, football, etc.

Or a restaurant gift card for their lunches.

Too funny! Hee hee! I usually get my Dad or DH a gift card to Home Depot or Lowes...What man can't use that? Or maybe a gift card for him and his wife to go out to dinner? ~Lisa

Oooops...Just saw that you said you are trying to stay away from gift cards...Then, how about a case of his favorite beer?

If I asked DH, he would say, "A bottle of Jack." So, that's what I'd suggest-a trip to the liquor store.

If he likes sports, why not get him a stein with his favorite sports team on it and a case of his favorite beer? Do you know any of his hobbies? That would help with ideas, I think.

If there's any small breweries around you could get a sample case of their beers. There's a couple restaurants around here that make their own. They’ll let you mix and match different kinds to make up a case. That way he could try a few different kinds of beers.
