Anybody try Hip hop abs? Results?

I couldn't sleep last night so I was watching late nite tv---the commercials for the hip hop abs look great, but the $60 price stopped me. And the fact that I don't like hip hop music! Why can't they make 'classic rock' abs for us oldies? Anyone ever try the at home DVD programs and did they work?

I saw one program at Kohls once, but can't remember which one? I don't have a lot of weight to lose, but the tummy could use some toning!

BF reminded me you actually have to put the DVD in the player and dance along with it.......it doesn't help to buy the set and leave in on the table!??!!?! Nice........

I don't know anything about it but I have had spectacular results from doing Pilates. It's been since the beginning of April and not only have my abs gotten stronger but after the first three weeks the shelf on my butt that had been there for over 20 yrs magically disappeared. I also lost my "top stomach" completely. Which is in essence my abs getting stronger and more compact.
I highly recommend Pilates all you need is a mat a good DVD and/or The Pilates Body a book that explains the excercises, how many to do what sequence (sequence very important in Pilates) etc.

I love it!

I did Pilates for four months, along with my daughter. We both saw only small results. I was actually disappointed. But, that could just be me. I know sometimes, what doesn't work for one person, will work for another.
I have been faithfully using my treadmill and also lifting weights. I have taken off 20lbs, but it has taken me many months of hard work, and eating about 1,200 calories a day (with Saturday being my *free* day). Your post made me remember my Pilates CDs, its been a few years since I tried them, maybe I will dust them off.....and give them another try...

I bought this and it was a little too much for me to follow. They don't start out slowly, they just jump right into it. It is also hard on the joints if you have any hip or knee problems.

OP, I've never seen the one you're talking about, so I can't comment on that one.

I love the Windsor Pilates. It's so easy to do, doesn't take long and I can really see results. I ordered Windsor by phone after seeing it on TV. It didn't cost as much as the one you're talking about.

I LOVE TurboJam
It's easy to follow and has low-impact options
