Favorite Summer Song....

Does anyone else have a song that seems to signify summer to you? This year I am lovin' Kid Rock's "All Summer Long". Guess it takes me back to the good old days, but I also love the beat. So what about yall?

Kid Rock's "All Summer Long" is a winner. I think it's a song that will be one of those that hangs on for years and years as a favorite.

Not really a summer song per se, but I kinda like Natasha Bedingfield's "Pocketful of Sunshine"....oh, woah, oh.

I'd associate 311's Amber with summer, but I suppose that's sort of personal. And I've got all sorts of Beach Boy's stuff, and the fluffy surf music is always fun.

Here comes Ms. stuck in the 70's.
I didn't recall ever hearing Kid Rock's All Summer Long so of course I went to YouTube and of course they have a video.
I really like that song. And having grown up in Michigan it really struck a cord.

Thanks for turning me on to it.

Boys of Summer by Don Henley also. That's one of my all time favorite songs. I saw the Hell Freezes Over tour the Eagles did back in the 1990s and still remember how it felt out under the stars when Henley sang that song.... I still remember cruising town with the windows down to that song when I was a kid too. LOVE the Eagles.

Also I seem to associate most Heart songs with the summer also, guess I remember driving around town or just parked in town with a lot of friends listening to them (they were very popular when I grew up).

My grandma LOVED Jimmy Buffet. She was 99 when she died three years ago. We put his Margaritaville cd in the casket with her. She even had a pic of him mooning someone.

As cheesy as it may sound : "Summer Girls" by LFO

That is my favorite "feel good" summer song. It always makes me smile and sing along. And reminds me of young summer romance.

I do not like Kid Rock but after reading this post I went to you tube and watched the video. Have to say I love "All Summer Long". I normally do not listen to the radio or music I am a talk radio gal. But I must say Kid Rock's new CD is surprising me. I also love his song "Amen"

I love that song!!! I was just telling my friend that it reminds me of "back in the day" in NJ when we would hang out at Windsor's Woods or The Range. This was a bit before 1989 in his song...more like 1980. My first love, the love of my life was with me (he got killed in a car accident two years later when he was only 20). Life was good. We had no cares in the world. It brings back so many memories. ~Lisa

Once again showing my age, Summertime by Lena Horne and Up a Lazy River by the Mills Brothers

Up a lazy river by the old mill stream
That lazy, hazy river where we both can dream
Linger in the shade of an old oak tree
Throw away your troubles, dream a dream with me

Right now I am also loving Kid Rock's song "All Summer Long" although I always crack up because he says it was 1989 and we were drinking whiskey from the bottle and singing Sweet Home Alabama in 1977 (song came out in 74 but I was only 12!)
I also love many other summer songs that I can't mention all right now.
