Does anyone else believe in this, or use this?
Me and the guy I am dating have been trying it. He used it and got a great job! YAY! I used it to bring back a lost friend back into my life. I'm also trying to use it to lose weight. From what I have seen personally, it works.

Yes I have been doing it. I have a board all made up of things I wish to bring into my life. I'll list the things that have happened or I've gotten since making the board. All of these things are on the board.

A new car (new to us)
Vacation at the beach - when I made the board it wasn't going to happen.
Spending a lot of family time together.
Happier (in general with life)
My marriage is renewing itself. (Thank God! We had gotten to where we were completely taking each other for granted.)

I'll take a pic of my board afterwhile an post it. I love the law of attraction. It works if you believe it will work.

I just started reading this book last night. I've watched bits and pieces of the movie and interviews about the movie on Youtube. I have always visualized lost items to find them. I thought about doing a board...maybe when I finish the book.

YES!!! I totally believe,,, since I read the book "The Secret" I have tried to use the law of attraction it has gotten us

1. New truck

2. my Dream vacation to Hawaii

3. I feel healthier and happier

and I am now working on many other goals in my life. In the begining I envisioned small things first then worked my way up to bigger and better, I will forever be grateful to the writers of my all time favorite book The Secret!! ;-)

ps. I recomend anyone who wants to try to see the movie or read the book.

How was the movie? I read the book, and don't know if I would like the movie. DH might watch it if I had it, so I was thinking about it?

Anyone want to tell me what this secret is? I have read the link that was posted but it seems so vague. Can anyone put it all in a nutshell for me? Or do I need to read the book to understand?

In short it's whatever you put out into the universe you will get back. Be it good or bad. Good thoughts equals good things. Bad thoughts equals bad things. Ask and you shall receive.

It was fun making it. I put it on my night stand behind my alarm clock so I see it several times a day.

I thought about doing one on the computer too. Just let it run as a screen saver. I may still yet, imagine how well 2 would work.

For an example.. I will tell you how I got my long lost friend to contact me again. He had told me to forget about him..never contact him again. I gave him his wish and stopped all contact, but I never stopped missing him!

So, I found out about The Law of Attraction.

I started thinking about my friend every night before bed in a positive manner, and repeating about 5 or 6 times for him to contact me. I figure if it didn't work, I had nothing to lose, since he wasn't speaking to me anyway.
I did they for about 2 weeks, never missed a night.. and all the while I was HAPPY.. a key thing is to BE HAPPY! That's what I got from the movie anyway. Unhappiness distrubts everything.

After about 2 weeks of this.. I got a email from my friend!!! I was shocked to say the least! We are still in contact and are actually better friends than ever! It's great!

This is the way I look at it and basically my view on life in general: every thought you think, emoiton you feel, thing you do, word you say is energy going into the world. Pictue it as little shooting bolts of light or energy you are shooting out. What you shoot out is what comes back to you.

If you are negative all the time acting like Eeyore and thinking the worst is going to happen then it will.
If you go around expecting the best to happen and you are happy and cheerful even in bad circumstance then good will come to you.

Now that being said it doesn't mean you sit around on the couch fantasizing about meeting Sean Penn and he shows up at the door. On the contrary I think it is more of a "please open me up to the possibilities that I may have missed before" than "please give me a new car". Although I am also living proof that visualization does help alot in many ways.

Life=10% Circumstance + 90% Attitude
Sound corny to you? I am living proof that it works. I am not bragging and my life is not perfect but I am a very positive, happy, and grateful person. I consider myself lucky so I am never surprised when I win or find something. And I am not better nor smarter nor more deserving than anyone else. I have just given myself permission to be happy and I am convinced that I am deserving of what life can offer me.

Now I know people have medical issues and such that they had nothing to do with "attracting" or bringing to them. But remember Christopher Reeve? If he could be happy and fulfilled then what in God's name is holding any of us back?
If a person in a concentration camp can be happy to see the sun or to taste a drink of cold water then what the hell do any of us have to be unhappy about?

Life is what you make it and you can't pick whom you were born to; you can't pick where you live or where you work or what the weather is but you can certainly choose to be happy or not.
That to me is what the law of attraction is all about.
