Question TI 84 plus calculator help

Calculators are provided at school so we don't have to buy one. However, DD is going to need one for home use.
In looking at them on eBay, W-M, Sam's and Office Depot here's what I noticed.
What sort of cord or cords come with the calculator? What cord or cords will she need?
Please tell me there's a difference other than the silver color between the TI-84 Plus and the TI-84 Plus Silver Edition. Of course, she wants the pink or purple one.

They're $115 after rebate at Office Depot.
I've found them as cheap as $102 with shipping on eBay. I am looking at sellers with a good feedback score and brand new unopened pkgs.
I could earn 1000 MyPoints by buying at Office Depot. I could earn 2 pts per dollar buying on eBay.

Any other advice you can offer?

TIA

I think the price difference is because of the "fashion" color so you pay more for it. I bought mine on Ebay and had to buy the "silver USB cable" to download updates, etc,. from the Texas Instruments website. Check the box/ad/listing carefully because this cable might be included. Just FYI, it took my 14-year-old abut 10 minutes to figure out how to do most of what he does on it.

Staples has the TI-84 Plus for $89.99 ($119.9 minus $15 instant savings minus $15 easy rebate).

The TI-84 Plus Silver is $99.99 ($129.99 minus $15 instant savings minus $15 easy rebate). You can also get them in pink or blue for the same price if your store carries them.

The TI-84 Plus Silver has more memory and comes with more pre-loaded applications/equations which can be used in higher levels of math and science. Both come with the PC cable needed for update downloads. According to DD, you can also download games!

I checked Staples online, the prices reflect $5 instant saving instead of $15. Still a good buy and cheaper than Office Depot.
Thanks.

The 84 was $80 at Walmart today. The 83 is what my DD needs and it was also $80. I check Target and they were 99.99 there. HTH

BTW, I think you can get covers for them, Walmart had covers in crazy styles, I'm pretty sure they were for the 84 and 83s.

I just saw this in my GAGDA (GA Good Deal Alert)...Maybe this will help? ~Lisa

There is a whole thread about this deal in Catch of the Day on Going to FishingForDeals! at office depot. I believe the TI-83 plus is $99.99 before rebates and the TI-84 plus is 119.99. Use coupon code 88440125 for $25 off $75! There are also 2 $25 rebates and the original poster was going to try and submit both rebates. I didn't need this, so I didn't do this deal, but many people are trying it. The rebates are for the TI-83 plus or the TI-84 plus. I don't see why you couldn't get at least one of the rebates for sure. Here are the forms:

I finally decided to not procrastinate any longer. I went through MyPoints for 1,000 pts which are already pending and ordered from Office Depot. Yesterday at Office Depot.com there was a 10% discount and I found a 15% on another coupon forum. The $25 coupon convinced me that I couldn't find a better deal. With one $25 rebate the total is right about $100.
Thanks, Lisa.

I have a $20 off $75 (I think it is) coupon for Office Depot if you are interested.

That might help.

I did have 2 or 3 of them, but the boys would always lose them. That is a lot of money for them to be losing!! argh!
