does anyone know for sure what 420 means?

I have a client who has rental property and she has received alot of calls about her place that is for rent but three different callers asked her if the place is 420 friendly.
This poor old woman aint got a clue what they were asking. I have been told that 420 means pot smoking friendly. Just wanting to make sure before I tell her. She hasnt rented the place yet. she is going to decide tomorrow. so I will tell her tomorrow for sure what it means if you guys will verfiy what I think it is.

Well my daughter was born on 4/20, and I was nformed by my older brother on that day that he learned from listening to howard stern on the way to the hospital that 4/20 is national "pot smoking day" :rolleyes, and as far as I understand 4:20 is a pot smoking reference. I'm sure a google search brings it up too.

well ladies i could answer many questions about this 420 cause its my birthday as well 4-20-1963 now you all know how old I am lol. Yes 420 stands for national pot day its also a day that anyone who is born on has to share with a one of the most evil people whom ever lived yes Hitler himself, I also know for a fact that the there are people who still love and honor Hitler and to them 420 is a holiday its also very sadly the day the children were killed at columbine it was done on that date to honor Hitler. For me i have struggled and always hated the same birthday but I realize there are so many people born on the same day and i cannot be reasonable for that person and who ever thinks the day is evil because people like i said do still love and honor this horrible man. But again I am positive its my birthday and I love the month of april and my anniversary is also 4/9 cause I love april so much hth a sincere peace to all catherine

They are asking if it is pot friendly. 420 is the code for pot smoking.

The perspective tenants want to know if they can smoke pot there.

well since their trying to make X amount of pot legal I guess for us that rent we'll start seeing on the list Dogs ok? Cats ok? Pot ok?.

yep they asked her. she didnt have a clue what they were talking about and I "thought" that was what they were asking but like the above posters, couldnt believe they would come right out and ask! she is in her late 70's and she told me today she is turning the rental property over to her son. lol. guess he will get the weird questions now.
we used to have rental property and we got asked some totally weird questions. a few of my favorites was the lady who kept talking about her babies and wanting to know if they were welcome in our rental property. I told her yes we allowed children and she said they wasnt children. finally i point blank asked her what her babies was and she had something like 37 cats! then there was the woman who wanted to know if she could rent our place but not move in. just use it on the weekends. after talking with her for a little while, she said she just needed it for the weekends for their meeting. meeting???? what kind of meetings did she have?? she himmed around and finally said she was the leader of a swappers club and they needed a place to do their swapping that was outa town . then there was the man who wanted to rent it for his " partner" but didnt want his wife to know. and we knew this guy!!!!
so you get some really strange questions from people who want to rent places.

awesome, will have to add that to our rental property ad:

5BR, 2.5 baths, dining room, eat in kitchen, wooded lot, awesome schools and neighborhood, and DUDE 420 friendly!
Maybe this will help in this economy!
