Best Mascara (or ???) Ever

I was loving Revlon Lash Fantasy the one where you do a base coat of white first. Then I saw a sale and a coupon for Maybelline Colossal Volum' Express the one that Drew Barrymore advertises. I love it! I think it's the best mascara ever. It makes me look and feel luxurious like a classy old Hollywood actress lady.

I've probably tried just about every brand of mascara out there.

In my opinion, all mascaras are pretty much the same. I don't think the more expensive brands work any better than the less expensive brands.

My pet peeve with mascara is that -- I swear -- the tube only lasts for a few applications at "full capacity"

I've tried dozens, but I still go back to the Maybelline Great Lash mascara. In the summer months I will wear a waterproof version due to the extreme humidity here in Virginia.

Maybelline Blue. I put a drop of hand lotion on the wand and dip it quite a few times and it lasts forever and doesn't clump.

I've never heard of this before, I'll have to try it. Any particular hand lotion you use for this?

Another Maybelline Great Last girl - dark brown.

It's always on the 'celebrity-make-up-artist-to-the-stars' lists of must haves. And so cheap! I think I bought my current one for just over $1.00 after the coupon...

Ok, Thanks !!! I try to save the small things I hear about beauty tips in my mind for later to remember to do. I loved the beauty tip thread awhile back that listed heating your eyelash curler with a hair dryer for a few seconds. Never had thought about even doing that and it worked like a charm.

Navy blue mascara is supposed to make your eyes look whiter, so you look more awake, but it can be oddly hard to find. I've found Great Lash in gold and silver (years ago) and bright blue a couple years ago, but it's not my favorite. It just shows up in odd colors occasionally. I like Rimmel Extra Super Lash, choose the color you like. It doesn't dry out too badly, and it gives good, but not over the top results.

I use whatever is on sale, or whatever brand has a promo. I haven't found one really, ever that lights up my world. However, wouldn't leave home without it!

Ditto here. Right now I am working my way through a stockpile of Max Factor Lash Perfection that was BOGO on clearance twin pack. Ended up less that $2 a tube. Works fine.

And thanks for the tip about the lotion. I have always added a drop of water when they started to thicken but I like this better.

Same here...another fan! I have a stockpile of this from a Target Christmas sale. They had the double packs clearanced. With coupons they cost next to nothing from what I can remember. Every time I need to open up another package, they are fine. They have never dried out. I've also read that this brand is a favorite among makeup artists. I do feel like I'd like a change though...I get bored. Maybe I'll try that Maybelline Colossal Volum Express that annadrose likes. I've read that it's very good. Whatever it is, it has to be waterproof. ~Lisa

See, that's my point: mascara never lasts long enough to thicken

When I pull out the wand, there is barely any mascara on the wand by about the 3-4th use

I love Loreal Voluminous. Yall should try it, I swear I can tell the difference in it and any other kind. CVS or someone usually has it on sale. But for me it's worth it, my lashes are nonexistent without mascara.
