Good for you for buying your kid good shoes for band practice. IMO, those kids work out as much, if not more, than the football players at our school. While they are not sacking each other, they are doing repetitions over and over (alright, maybe that's why they call them repetitions). And the marching, and keeping their arms up with instruments. I made so much fun of the band kids when I was in high school-I had no clue how hard those kids work. DS is heading off to college as a music major on Monday. I couldn't be more proud. Anyway, I married a band geek-guess Karma really is a beeyotch.

Isn't it funny? When we are grocery shopping, my 9 yo ds will say in a heart beat - "oh, we can't buy that, we don't have a coupon"! Or he'll see something he wants, and say - "check online and see if you can find that cheaper"! Makes a mama proud!

When my oldest daughter was 2 she was shopping at Target with my parents. Grandma picked up a toy and asked my daughter if she would like Grandma to buy it for her. My DD shook her head with (my Mother swears obvious disdain) and said "Gwanna...is not even on cwearance!" Oh, my beautiful baby! |
