Anyone see the last episode of Dr. Who?

I had it tivo'd but had to watch 'Turn Left' on youtube (tivo missed it) first so they weren't out of order. I loved the whole storyline (although I am kinda tired of the Daleks).

So, other than this year's Christmas special and three specials in 2009, that's it until 2010....argh! I hope David Tennant continues with the series (he'll be in the specials), and I can't wait to see who the companions will be.

So...no spoilers...has anyone seen the latest episode ('Journey's End')?

Saw it and loved it!

DH introduced me to Dr. Who 20 years ago. He's been a HUGE fan since the 1970's and was absolutely beside himself when the BBC brought it back 3 years ago. Every Friday night is "Dinner and Dr. Who Night" in our house with myself, DH and our two teenagers. Sometimes it is the only night of the week we are all home and eat dinner together. I think our 17 yr old DD has a crush on David Tennant. We all hope he remains as the Dr. in 2010 as well but I haven't read that he's signed any contract yet.

I cried like a baby at the end. I just wasn't expecting what happened with Donna (hope that's not too much of a spoiler). The last bit with Rose was a little disappointing, but overall I loved the show. I talk and read and what not while I watch TV, my DH commented that all I did was watch this time, so it had to be good.

It will be a long wait for a new one. I really hate how long it takes sometimes.

I thought the ending with Rose was really the only way for her story to have a happy ending (for her, anyway) and to be honest, I was really tired of the actress. The way she always left her mouth hanging open drove me nuts! LOL! And I'm sure, with his hair, that the Doctor stowed at least one hairbrush on the Tardis...maybe Rose just couldn't find it. I did like the actress who played her mom, though.

Catherine Tate, though, I loved. I was already a fan of hers from her own show, and I think she was a hoot as Donna. Something about her delivery can turn a very ordinary line into a very funny one. Loved her grandfather, too. I read that they were wrapping up all the loose ends because there's a new head writer /executive producer (the man who wrote 'Blink' which was an absolutely amazing episode) and he'll start fresh companion-wise.

I also really liked Martha...I don't watch Torchwood (did you know that's an anagram of Doctor Who? I had no idea) but I'll watch when she's going to be on. And I loved the little acknowledgment of Gwen being a relative of Gwyneth from 'The Unquiet Dead' episode, since it's the same actress.
