Ironing board

I have a antique ironing board that is just that a well padded board . My mothers sister ironed on a oriental carpet runner and I iron on a bath towel on the kitchen table. What do you use for a ironing board?

I have an old wooden ironing board that I searched all over for a few years back. I just love it -- it hangs in the enclosed back porch and is more of a decorative piece than anything. I take it down when I have lots to iron but if only a piece, a folded towel on the kitchen table works for me too.

When I iron, which isn't very often, I use a regular ironing board that I keep folded in my bedroom closet. For a long time, it was set up in my bedroom and had become my *office* but last week, I reorganized and put everything away. It's nice to have the space back.

Most of the time when I don't feel like ironing (especially in the heat of summer), I'll take my water spray bottle and spray down the garment and wear it. It smooths out on its own!
