I bought my microwave 1 year and one month ago (of course) and for the last couple days it has been acting goofy. Everything I put in there makes it spark like it has metal in it. I have even tried a glass of water. I scrubbed the glass plate just in case it was something stuck to that and wiped out the inside. I did notice that the paper part (inside the microwave) had a spot on it that looks "burned" but I am guess it is because I have put close to 10 things in there that have all sparked and made flames. I hate to think it has crapped out since it is truely one month past it's warranty - that is very frustrating. My mom juts got rid of her microwave they got before my sister was born and she is 30 - I am sure we all got a lot of radiation from that dionsaur! but it lasted over 30 years - mine is just a year old. My other thought is that we just moved into an older house (100 yrs) BUT DH replaced all the outlets in the kitchen and bathroom to handle all of our "appliances" so I wouldn't think the older electricity would make to the microwave do this? Any thoughts?

Last year I tossed a microwave I had gotten at Walmart, it wasn't sparking...but it wasn't doing as good a job. I decided to keep the round glass plate that came with it, and when I removed it and that lil doohicky that it turns on I saw metal showing underneath! :O

Do you see any metal??

If it was mine, I would just toss it, one year or 100 years.. that's a fire hazzard!!
