I remember joining because I just had to put in for maternity leave from flight attending and was a nervous mervous first time mom to be and this place was a wealth of advice and freebies for us!
I got everything from free shoes for Emma to free formula, mayo clinic book etc!

I'm 1999 too, but my profile says 2003? I remember the good old days too when I used to wait up until 3 or 4 AM just to log onto a site with a coupon code. That was back when I really needed to save $$ too.

Hey, have you always lived in Nanuet? I just noticed that. I grew up (my middle school and high school years) across the border in River Vale. Some of my best high school memories are associated with the Nanuet Mall!

I know I was here before the clover wars began, that's for sure. It's hard to believe it's as long as it's been, though.

2003, when I was newly married, and had just moved to the US. So I missed a lot of good stuff.

July of 1999. I just wish I was in a position to take advantage of more of those deals back then (wasn't at a permanent type of residence at the time).

1998 and then off and on over the years. Glitch at some point messed up my join date. I have a picture of myself holding my almost 11 year old son and looking at MyCoupons!

Wow, I just found out about The Cafe a couple days ago. I was doing a search for an old thread and found out about this forum. I haven't been here since YFB was closed down. This place emptied out like a ghost town, since the community spirit was gone. I was here back in 2000, during the Internet boom. But I have no Rep power since I've been gone. Glad to see there's a chat forum again.

I joined sometime in mid 2000, and even paid for the Lifetime Membership (2003? 2004?). But, I was gone for a few years and when I came back I was no longer in the system. I had to re-register, but I got to keep my old username. I don't remember the clover wars, so I may have been gone longer than I thought. (LOL) Anybody care to enlighten me on the clover wars?

looks like I signed up on Dec. 24th 2003. I can't believe I had nothing better to do on Christmas Eve than surf the web. Either I was shell-shocked by our expenses, or finding a way to not have to make conversation w/ the inlaws. Still not sure if that date is correct-seems like I joined two years earlier than that.

I've been here since 1998, but in 99 had to become a paid member, when we were promised more and exciting things! I go by this name for now on.

I do remember the year of freebies. I had 2 Christmas's thanks to beenz , mypoints, freeride and petsmart. I also had a room in my house full of boxes of everything! My animals ate for a year free. My UPS man came 2 times a day and my mailman hated me. lol

When the big craze was going on, I had a email from Gateway computers and that turned into a phone call. Next thing was photographer at my door from N.Y and a person to interview me on all my freebies. She got my name from MC. I still have the magazine with my pict and story in it. My kids loved it at the time. Actually my youngest now 17, gets that mag out and I cringe!..lol

I was a lurker forever, didn't come for a few years at all, then came back and started posting. I don't remember the Clover Wars either. I know I quit for a long time when the YFB died. How long was it before the Cafe opened? What fun would it be without such a board? I have always wondered why so many people that I liked got kicked off. I will always wonder about a few.

I think I came at the end of 2002 sometime in the Winter. I was working the graveyard shift at a call center with a woman who told me about it. I first only checked out the Freebies section every day. Then I started looking at the Cooking section then I started branching out. I love this part of the board best of the the Cafe!
