Has anyone heard of Monavae?

I have been reading a lot bout this new antioxidant supplement. It even has anti cancer effectiveness. It is some kind of juice and you dring 2 oz a day. It is pretty pricey at 35-40 dollars a bottle. I was just wondering if anyone has used it yet and if you think it is working.

AçaÃ* Palm - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Here's your active ingredient. I've seen too many miracle fruits to think much of this, but if you're curious, you can get the same thing in other drinks.

I've seen several cars driving around lately with this advertised in the rear window - I wondered what it was.

Newsweek had an article about it this week.

MonaVie Acai Juice: Cure-All or Marketing Scheme? | Newsweek Project Green | Newsweek.com

They pretty much called it a multi-level marketing scam.

Thank, this is all I needed to read. I think I will just go the health food store and buy the supplements. They are much cheaper and do the same.

Not to be too negative, but I think the whole antioxident thing is just another trendy hype sort of thing. You probably get enough antioxidents in your daily diet without buying the suppliments. If we all worried about oat bran, folic acid, beta caratene, electrolites, and everything else *they* push, we'd all just be popping supplements all day and keeping GNC in business.

Heard of it, even used it for a couple months thanks to MIL who sells it. Blah. She actually gave it to us to try hoping we would fall in love with it I suppose. DH and I both used the green label 'active' and my DDs used the purple label with no speical name. One DD said it was so gross and hated it that I didn't make her use it and MIL wasn't too pleased but I didn't care. Older DD used for a short time and said why bother, still have 2 unopened purple labeled sitting around. Neither DH or I had any spectacular results from it. I personally think it is a bunch of crap and if you want Acai berry in your diet, take a supplement

We had neighbors who were distributors for Monavie. First of all, for anyone that is interested in getting involved in distributing it, it is a pyramid business. Secondly, the husband began taking it and swore that it was the first time in years that he had a restful, sound sleep. Lastly, they also have twin sons who are autistic and had them taking it. The mom said she saw improvement in their ability to focus. Personally, I thought it was way too expensive and if I was interested in it, I would go to the health food store and buy the supplement. You are to take 2oz in the morning and 2 oz at night. A bottle lasts about two weeks.
