Ok I have 3 shelties mom sunshine dad simba and daughter sonflower, now simba he is the male and he is totally and when I say totally obessed with any toilet bowl I mean it, I have 4 1/2 bath here and each bowl is his favorite, he hates when he hears the sound of any kind coming from the bowl and when he does he will run into whatever bathroom and first bark his head off at the bowl like seems like for hours and then he will lift the cover up and down over and over again no matter how many times he hits his nose do not ask me why , but we should have maybe named him something else that relates to the toilet bowl,,, too funny peace Catherine

My kittie likes to fetch too. He brings me makeup sponges. His brother walks on walls. lol When they chase each other they have to make a hard right out of the bedroom or run into a wall but alot of times they miss the turn so they just run up the wall and make their turn 2 feet up the wall. My other cat will help herself to a cool drink of water. She will open the bathroom door, jump on the counter and turn the water on. Unfortunately she doesn't know how to turn it off.

Peaches taps me on the leg with her paws if she wants a treat, she refuses to stick her nose in the canister but loves the treats. She'll never bark all out to start off with if she's on the leash in the yard to let us know she wants back in, she'll woof, then woof a little louder, louder and so on til she gets in. She will sit and start staring at me at 10pm every night, she wants to go to bed and trying to tell me it's bedtime. She sleeps at my feet, , if DH moves his hand to hug me before we go to sleep she'll raise her head and stare at him til he settles back down on his sit. If we do more, when she's allowed back into the room she'll get between us and lay down so we're seperated a good deal. No DH doesnt mind her stareing at him for getting close, he actually thinks she's pretty funny. She's a pound dog, we got her from Petfinder.com for the kids but she chose me to be her human she'll play with the kids but not long, she doesnt think they play as well as I do.

Our poodle will twirl and twirl when she's excited. She is so funny to watch, she's blind and she has no idea where she is when she stops. Our Pit/Dane mix loves playing fetch and will play until you make him stop. |

| When we had Bodine (Aussie Shepard) and Jessi (Aussie Kelpie) they were best little buddies but they also loved it when they were "THE" dog. If one got to go in the car alone with SO or I or got to be alone in the house with us it was like they were all kinds of special. So toward that end, Bodine learned to trick Jessi into being let outdoors without going out herself. Bodine would act all excited to go outside like she could hear something that she wanted out to see and get Jessi all revved up to go out. I would go to the door to let them out and Jessi would run out and Bodine would hang back and look at me as if to say "Go ahead and shut the door, I'm not going out". We used to laugh so hard because poor Jessi would fall for it every time. The new boy Rusty is now getting settled in with us and is starting to show more of his personality everyday. I'm looking forward to learning his quirks.

I had one Oriental shorthaired that liked to play fetch.I had one tabby cat that could stand and pose.I've had a hamster that was so smart that I did not have to close or lock its door.It would come out whenever it wanted. It usually came out in the evening and climbed up on the couch and visited with us then it would go visit all the other hamsters homes and when it was done would go back to its cage on its own..It never went to the bathroom outside its cage.Never chewed on anything in the house or try to hide .It would just come out to visit everyone then go home. My cats were taught to protect them and they did. When the not so trustworthy hamsters were out roaming, the cats baby sat them. They would let the hamsters crawl all over them .If the hamsters were about to go somewhere where they weren't allowed my female cat would gently nudge it away with her paw.If another cat came to visit the house she would guard the hamsters.![]() Also the Siamese cat I had would always use the litter box when she had to puke.I thought that was really considerate of her.She would hold it gagging all the way to the litterbox so she didn't make a mess. |

And that is the reason that every bed in the house has a cotton quilt on them. Easy to toss in the washer.

We were watching AFV one night and they "shot" their dog and he played dead. I jumped up and taught my Schnauzer in approximately 30 seconds to do this trick and it is pretty funny. My Great Dane decided he wanted to play too, jumped off of the couch and rolled over dead in front of me. My Great Dane will also grab my DH's shirt and pull him over to the truck because he wants a ride. My donkey's (see Avatar) will open the stall door if I don't latch it REALLY well. The female donkey is very smart and is a houdini of sorts. Great post by the way |

My cat Rosco plays fetch with these little spongy soccer balls we bought him at petsmart. He loves them. He also jiggles the doorknob to let us know that it's time to go outside ![]() My other cat Kayla is just the princess of the house and does whatever she wants.

![]() I have 8 cats and they're all talented! (LOL - yeh, right.) Skooter (my avatar), who passed away in April, use to fetch as well. He would bring his rattly mouse or pom-pom and drop it at my feet when he wanted to play. I always thought he would've made a good goalie because anytime I tried to pass one by him, or just over his head, he'd snatch it out of the air. He was quite good at it. Sissy and Shadow like to play fetch too. Sissy also likes to remind me every night around 11pm to fill the food and water dishes. Whether they're empty or not, when I walk into the kitchen, she'll run over and sit by the bowls and meow (softly) until I come over and refill them. She does this even if I've just filled them an hour before and they're still full.... in which case, I have to at least dump out the water and refill it to make her happy. She's such a bossy little princess. (LOL)Ginger's talent is coming to get me and lead me into the bathroom, where she jumps onto the counter and I must pet her. For some reason, that's her petting room. I'm convinced that Maggie could turn on the bathroom facet if only she had a thumb. She knows what makes the water come out, and she's tried many times to do it herself by pawing at the knob. That's become a ritual as well... Maggie, Sissy and Ginger gathering around the waterhole (bathroom sink) in the morning when I go into the bathroom. Aside from eating, Finster's talent is being the peacekeeper between DH and I. (LOL) If DH and I have a heated conversation, Finster will come over to us (meowing and purring) and rub his head on whoever is upset. He's such a tenderhearted sweetie. (He's a lover, not a fighter.) Archie's talent use to be tearing up my loaves of bread and rolls of papertowels. Then I got a breadbox (instead of the breadbasket) and a hanging papertowel holder (instead of the countertop model). He also use to be REALLY good at clawing up the furniture, walls and doorways (trying to climb them) until I had him declawed (Yeh, I'm one of those evil people. ). He has also been very talented at napping on top of anything and everything he wasn't suppose to, like DS's video game consoles and other electronics..... basically anything that a normal cat would find uncomfortable to lay upon. (He'd lay on a bed of nails if we had one.) He's always been an obstinate cat. So basically, I guess you could say his talent over the past 13yrs has been to work our nerves and teach us tolerance. I know I sound harsh, but trust me, he IS the definition of dumb animal. If he were people, he'd be a jerk. (In some ways, he kind of reminds me of my father. LOL) Thank God he's calmed down in his old age and can't jump up on the countertops anymore. He can barely make it up on the bed with his short, old legs. I've always wondered.... Does anyone else have a "stupid" pet like this? We've only had Sophia and Isabelle for a few months, so we haven't noticed any particular talents of their's yet.... other than eating, sleeping and racking up vet bills. .
