I knew I should have gone...

over across the street to Rite Aid. My son wanted me to go over there for him to purchase something he needed. I have a coupon for it and the kid (he's 17) is coupon phobic. I told him that he'd better not be so shy...the cashier isn't going to bite him if he gives them a coupon! When he goes off to college next year he'll be needing and wanting to use those coupons to save money! Anyway, long story short, he comes back and told me that he saw Usher in there. He was a few people ahead of my son in line. I know that he does live in Country Club of the South which is in the next town over. He said that when he drove away (in his Bentley) everyone in the store was talking. LOL. I really like his music...see, I should have gone! I told my son sometimes it's all about being in the right place at the right time. I know some people aren't impressed with celebrities (let's not start that up!)...I just think it's kind of cool that he saw him. It's not everyday you run into Usher in Rite Aid. Too funny... ~Lisa

Lisa...

LOL - Even I, the queen of coupons (in my own mind) might have had to think twice before shelling out the world's best coupon if Usher was in line with me!

I cringe to think I could compromise my couponing ways, but in front of Usher? Maybe I would...

Of course, you can always go back to the store with your receipt and coupon afterwards...

Talk about a slim chance getting slimmer...what WAS the likelihood that your DS was going to whip out the coupon at that point? LOL!

Just wondering-what did he buy? Heck, I would have shared my coupons with him.

My ds was on an airplane with Usher once ! He flew from Atlanta to Norfolk, VA. My son said he smelled good and had a big entourage.

So, did he use the coupon?

My son did use the coupon...I checked the receipt to make sure! That was good...he saved me $2! Anyway, I asked DS what Usher bought. He said "the same kind of things you'd buy in the grocery store Mom...shaving gel, a carton of OJ, and a bunch of other stuff"...no specifics really. I've read that the guy is really a nice person. Maybe one of us will run into him again! ~Lisa
