whatever happened to the kids in texas?

I think it was texas anyways. the kids what was removed from their moms cause of someone making a phone call about the abuse? I cant remember the name of the group but it was the one where the men had tons of wives and loads of kids. That was all I heard on the news for awhile and then it died down and i never heard the outcome of the whole mess. now all thats on tv news is the election stuff that I am getting totally sick of now. lol.
anyone know what ever happened to those children?

I think the court ordered them all to be returned home and the case was closed. I don't understand how/why they could do that because were't they ordered to all undergo paternity testing and I don't think those results ever came in, or if they did they were not made public.

As an ex-Child Protective Services Investigator I was shocked at the way this case was handled. I don't see how they thought they could go in and remove all those kids with no evidence of anything happening to them AT THAT TIME and it stand up in court. I never posted in the original post about this because people were in such an outrage about what was going on and yes, what they are doing is wrong, but AT THE TIME THE KIDS WERE REMOVED they had no evidence to remove them. They had one alleged victim, THAT THEY NEVER FOUND, at that point unless they had more victims or other people reporting specific instances happening then it should have been dropped, or if there were more instances then those should have been investigated and possibly those children removed. The abusers would be arrested and removed the other children and families should have been left alone. They should have followed the laws for doing an investigation, then it would not have been such a huge mess. I in no way condone, they way these people live, what they stand for, or what they are doing, or their religious beliefs, but the law is the law and people have rights, not ALL those children were being abused. The alleged victim was never even found, Now, I am not saying an investigation should not have continued once they visited if they became suspicious then they should question others, continued their investigation gathered the evidence they needed to removed the children that needed to be removed. They kind of did it backwards, removed all the kids, then investigated, which is why it got thrown out of court I am sure. You have to follow the laws and prcedures. As far as any kind of paternity testing results, if it involves children it is not going to be made public on the childs part, because anything pertaining to juveniles are confidential by law.

Think about it on a smaller scale. You have 4 kids, one of them calls in and reports my mom beat me and I have bruises and I'm bleeding from the electrical cord she beat me with I also have some cigarette burns on my arm cause she got mad at me and burned me, investigators come out to your house but they can't find your kid, however they remove all the rest of your kids because they don't know for sure and they can't find the one that's saying he's abused. This would be against the law. You can't just go in and remove someone's kids with no evidence. You have not seen the alleged abused child, the other kids are fine.

Again, I don't agree with these people's lifestyle, but there are laws that protect people from this. I would not be surprised if later on they do not sue the State of Texas for the way this case was handled with all the children being removed like this.
