![]() I will switch it at someone's house (or even here at work) if they have it coming from underneath the roll. You actually use less if it comes over the top of the roll. (was told that by a company I worked for that cleaned offices and such)

I dont care as long as it gets put back on the holder! Now lets talk about toilet seats! I live in a house with mostly men. I hate cleaning the bathroom!

Over. Under seriously bugs me although I won't go as far as to change it...I think that's rude. I had a guest at a party once switch ours from over to under and the next day I was trying to visualize who went to the bathroom and who could have done it LOL It was a fun game ![]() Papertowel dispenser is sideways

| Over...w/out a doubt! I cannot stand to have the paper the other way. You can't find the end the other way. My DD, when she actually goes to the trouble of changing the roll (rarely! ), always seems to put it on with the roll coming underneath. The two males (DH and DS) could care less. Most of the time they just sit the roll on top of the tp holder. They can't seem to find the time to put it back on the roller thingy. Lazy butts!!!

It has to be over. Absolutely drives me insane with it the other way. Although, being the only girl in the house which way the paper goes is the least of my problems in the bathroom. I want my very own bathroom!!! Given the right time of month I have been known to chew someone out for putting it on "wrong". LOL |

Couldnt care any less, not something I'd stress over

I don't care how it's put on, as long as someone replaces it when they use the last of it!

I say over, because then it never touches the wall or the liner of the tp "container:. But I am not anal about it......would rather solve the mystery of why am I the only soul in a house of 4 who knows A) where the toiler paper is kept, B) how to replace a roll when I use the last square and C) the one everyone else yells for when they go into the bathroom and they need a new roll....there ARE 4 of us after all. (And, even though I have tried to correct most of these problems by keeping a nice decorative covered basket right next to the commode with extra rolls in them--I still have this problem if I don't painstakingly go through the 3 bathrooms regularly to see the baskets are full)

Over, of course, is the only proper way, lol. I recently visited my aunt's home and she had it under. I needed to use the bathroom twice during the visit and grabbing it from underneath actually made me cranky! But I refrained from changing it.....she is 92 after all.

I prefer it over..and that is how you see housekeeping do the rolls in a hotel bathroom. But...I may have to switch to under because I have 2 kittens. This past Saturday they discovered the toilet paper. I didn't think they could reach it. I was gone to Walmart but back in no longer than half an hour. I walked in the door & it looked like a bunch of junior high kids had t p'd my house. Apparently one of them got the end of the paper & ran with it in her mouth thru the house. It came out of the bathroom, thru my bedroom, doubled back into the kitchen, then under the dining table, thru the legs. This is all one piece..not little pieces. I think if I roll it the wrong way, it won't be as easy for them to get ahold of. |

| UNDER!!!!! It really irks me to see it OVER. Not sure why it bugs me so much, but it really does. ![]() I agree that when the roll is printed, it shows that it is meant to go over, but I hate it that way! I can't grab onto the end that way. When it is under, the end hangs free! |

There is no room in our bathroom for a toilet paper holder ,therefore it sits 2 inches away on the edge of the bathtub. If I had a holder the toilet paper would be over because I would not want the toilet paper dangling against the wall where dust and germs accumulate. No paper towel holders either. For me it is more convenient to just have it laying around wherever I'm using them at the time. This reminds me that I'm running out of papertowels.Could somebody please post a hot deal for paper towels? |

I am concerned for the people here who admit that they actually change the toilet paper position in SOMEONE else 's bathroom. OMG that is very scary to care that much. LOL control freak much

Over. As a child my parents had it under and it was on a metal holder that was set into the wall and about three times a week I would reach for the paper and jam my fingernails into the crack where the holder met the wall. Also, when it's under, and someone has to go back for seconds, you don't know what is on those fingers that might transfer to the wall where the paper is touching the wall as it hangs "under". When the paper is over, the only transfer is to the paper itself. So there is your sanitation lesson for the day people. All you "under" people are very misguided and might I add, possibly cootie laden.

I'm happy to see from the poll that the great majority of us know that the one and only correct way to hang TP is over! ![]() Thankfully DS is as anal about the TP being hung "over" as I am. (He's warped like his mom.) DH doesn't care one way or the other, and I'm just happy that he has finally decided (after many years) to replace the TP when he empties the roll. However, he use to have a bad habbit of unintentionally booby trapping the TP roll. (Probably because after so many years of not changing it, he forgot how. LOL) When he changed the roll, sometimes he didn't push the spring-loaded roller all the way back into the TP holder. So, when I would go to grab some TP, the roll fell off onto the floor and the spring-loaded roller would shoot off and land behind the toilet bowl. (grrrrr) Fortunately, I became wise after the 2nd booby trap. Knowing that 90% of the time DH changes the TP roll, he hangs it the wrong way (under), warned me to test the TP roller to make sure it was securely in place before reaching for the TP. He hasn't booby trapped the TP in a while now, so he's made great progress. ![]() cooknstuff, I've had that problem a few times myself. (Except it was confined to the bathroom. LOL) The best solution for me was to simply take the roll of TP off the holder and leave it on top of the tank. That seemed to be the only thing that deterred my kitties from playing with it. I tried switching the roll to "under" and even taping down the loose end (when not in use) with a little piece of masking tape, but they still clawed up the TP trying to get it to unroll. .

When I put it on, it goes over. When somebody else changes it, who cares as long as there is toilet paper there. My housekeeper (for some odd reason) always changes my toilet paper rolls when they get near empty and then leaves the almost used up roll sitting on the back of the toilet (like they do in public restrooms). I noticed she replaces them with it going under - it is especially noticeable since I have the printed Cottonelle for kids paper.

Always over...and of course, there's a story why... I was at a gas station once and was forced to use a rather untidy restroom. Well, the toilet paper was hanging under and rubbing against a wall that was not only dirty, but was cob-webby too! Yuck! I couldn't imagine using that paper ANYWHERE on my body! Now, of course, I can't see hanging under paper without revisiting that bathromm... |

Honestly ladies, I think being a left-handed person I do things backwards I guess so to everyone else in my family things are always on the left hand side.So I thinK I have put the paper on the right way, no one has ever complained perhaps I am doing it right. Peace . Catherine

Definately over, drives me crazy to be under. I think I've finally gotten dd trained to do it over, it's just taken 7 years! But at least she always enjoyed putting a new roll on, so I didn't have to deal with that issue. Add me to the list of people who will change it at other people's houses! It really is more sanitary and easier to get. I just really don't get why people purposely put it under. My family, which is where I usually change it, are just lazy and don't pay attention, so I know they don't care if I change it or not, and probably don't even notice that I changed it. I won't do it at someone's house I don't know well or if I know they're anal about things, that would be rude. But most my family could care less. Jenn |
