Have you have eaten at or come across a restaurant with an unusual or funny name?

I remember that we used to go to a bar/restaurant in West Chester, PA back in 1981 called "The Rat Trap". They had the best pizza!

Another one of my favorites was a place in NJ called "The Blind Pig Gin Mill"

There was a place in Charlottesville, Va called The Mousetrap. I was reading about a Chinese restaurant somewhere called Fuc King, but I don't know if that's real or not.

The Vietnamese have a noodle called "Pho". It is pronounced "fuh" - so they get away with names like "Pho Q" or "Pho Kim".

We had a couple of those in Richmond, too. It's out of business now.

There's a Chinese Place here called "Yummy Chinese". However, the meat is fatty and we don't care for it.

There's a bar at the Lake of the Ozarks called "Big Dick's Halfway Inn". I've never ate there, but we drove about 5 miles out of the way because my sister HAD to have the Tshirt!

I don't know if it's still there, but there was a BBQ place in Atlanta called "Fat Matt's Rib Shack". It was a dive, but had good BBQ and live blues music.

Years ago there was a pizza chain here called Piece O' Pizza

Their name isn't that unusual, but we used to laugh at their logo which was "Had a Piece Lately?"

"The Last Supper" - it was in an old, small country church in the middle of nowhere. Washrags were hung for curtains in the restroom. No kidding.

There is a bar near Ga Tech called "The Library". I think it may be the only library that some of those kids have been too. Tech boys aren't know as readers.

Great Thread!!!

In Utah, at the edge of the Zion National Forest is a cute little restaurant with a most peculiar name.

Thunderbird Restaurant
"Home of the Ho Made Pies"

It took a couple of glances and getting over much laughing before we were able to go inside. Of course, When I sat down and the waitress came over to ask what I wanted, you know I just couldn't resist asking for a slice of that pie the ho's made.

I'm cracking up here...home of the ho made pies...too funny!

I know this one is nasty, but there is a place down in Panama City Beach called "Dirty Dicks". I've never been there, but the locals say that the food is good. Their T shirts are big sellers.

I was talking to a friend today about this and she said that there was a bar in her hometown called "Rehab"...I kid you not! That is funny to me...although I know some would be offended. You gotta have a sense of humor! Can you imagine...calling DH and telling him that I'm in "Rehab"? LOL... ~Lisa

At the Outer Banks in North Carolina there's a restaurant that we eat breakfast called "Eat and Get the Hell Out!" (Love it!)

Then there was one that we stopped at one time about 40 years ago in a tiny town on the way to Myrtle Beach (before interstates) and it was called "The Sanitary Restaurant".

DD's friend brought her a shirt from there -- it said "I Got My Crabs At Dirty Dick's!" Yuck. It was really a waste of money, since I wouldn't let her wear it.

I think the Rat Trap is still in West Chester - least last time I looked it was.

Down in Jacksonville Florida there was a place called the S & M Cafe.

In Ocean City MD there's a wing joint called Peckers? or something along those lines.

You're kidding? The Rat Trap is still there? WOW! I haven't been back there in years...but I'd love to stop through the town sometime. I just remember West Gay Street and High Street...

Oh yes, the place is called "Big Peckers" in Ocean City. Their T shirts are big sellers as well! ~Lisa

Looks like the Rat Pub (official name I think) closed sometime in the past couple years. I tried to run a search for you to get you info but it poofed. Course if you're in town you just drive down High Street and its either there or not. We did get a new pub in town recently - one of the Kildare's Irish pub chain, decent.
