Cracker Barrel's pecan pancakes are YUMMMMY!
I'm not a huge pancake fan but I love the sweet/salty combination of those.

For fast food, McD's has good pancakes. For table service, Denny's is the best! Yummm

IHOP's Harvest Grain pancakes are the only ones I like. But I'm going to try the ones at Cracker Barrel.

I'm with you on the cracker barrel pancakes. The trick to the crispy all the way around the outside is to use real butter and lots of it on your pan when you make them at home. Try it, you wont be dissapointed.

IHOP! I haven't been to Cracker Barrell or Denny's in ages. McDonald's pancakes are too floppy for me.
IHOP is the only "breakfast" restaraunt like that we have nearby...other than Waffle House and that place was just nasty inside.

I make the best!

....try adding a little toasted cocount and coconut milk to your next batch. Top it with pecan syrup and butter and you will be in heaven.

I used to work at a McD's about 4 years ago. The pancakes are ready-made frozen.( delievered to us in plastic bags ) ..when you order a set, the workers heat them up in a microwave in the back ...when McDs first made pancakes ( late 80's?) , they'd be home-made..flipped on a grill and all.

Perkins makes the best pancakes, they are light and fluffy and always done to perfection. I have to give them an extra plug cause I work for them

I don't know if this place is only in S. Fla or not, but we have the Original Pancake House (OHOP) and they make the most phenomenal pancakes, including their famous Apple Pancake and their Dutch Baby....each take like 30 minutes to prepare!! OMG they are SINFUL!!

The Original Pancake House

ETA: Ok now I see from their web site that they are all over the country. If you haven't tried them....you should!

I like to make my own pancakes at home. IHOP pancakes are ok. I don't care for McDonalds pancakes. I need to go to Cracker Barrel this weekend. I've never tried their pancakes but after reading all your recommendations, I have to check it out.

Okay, it's not a restaurant, but my Grandma made the BEST pancakes in the world. She died 5 years ago and I miss her terribly, but this thread has made my heart smile...so TY! She always made them using club soda instead of water and and made them very thin...then she essentially fried them in crisco using her cast iron skillet. They came out a bit fluffier than crepes, but still quite thin with very crispy edges. Yum...yum...yum!

I don't really have a favorite restaurant pancake, just my mom's.

We were really poor, when we were kids (but we didn't know it) One of my fondest memories was having pancake suppers. (I found out as an adult that Pancake supper was when we had no meat) All we kids knew was we loved it!

DNJ51. isn't that neat?? It took me becoming an adult to realize that we were seriously poor, but never knew it at the time!! My Mom was amazing!!! I wish I had half her strength!! I remember when we had sandwich night, I thought that was just so cool!! Ahh, those were the days!!
