Here we go again. This little guy was finishing up his first treatment when Patrick just started his. He has relapsed, and unfortunately is out of options. We "Cancer Moms" stick together, and his mom is one of the most dynamic ppl I have ever met. His parents are college professors who have done everything they can to save their son-including going to D.C. to make sure a bill was passed to insure funding for pediatric cancer, and going to the National Cancer Institute to sign up for any and every study available. They were willing to make their son a guinea pig in order to find any hope. My struggle is that I don't know what to pray for at this time. I am just so damned tired of these kids dying! And what totally sucks, is that in another month or so, I willl be posting another kid and family-but for today, let's please focus on sweet Tommy Thank you, for your prayers. Lynne

I taught a young girl about 20 years ago. In 6th grade, she found out she had brain cancer. She went through every kind of treatment some experimental. Since we are in the DC area, she had John Hopkins and NIH. She did a treatment that helped for a while but eventually she did pass away when she was 17 or 18. But the doctors did learn some ways of treating her type of brain cancer. My school has a run every year to raise money. It is called the Becca Run named after Rebecca Lilly.

What a beaming ray of sunshine Tommy is....prayers that he and his family and friends enjoy whatever time they have together.....and that he is comfortable and shrouded in love....
