Unhappy Totally bummed that summer is over with

I cannot believe next week the girls go back to school. I love when they are home for the summer and we can do fun things. All of us are missing the beach. Hopefully ,next summer we will have our beach home and we can stay for a month. We are hoping to buy a house in Ocean Lakes...Myrtle Beach.

Anyone else sad about the summer winding down???

Belinda

We have also enjoyed going to the beach once a week, but all the fighting makes me excited that school is starting soon. lol On the days (and there are very few of them) that my 11 year old dd and 12 year old ds don't fight I love it. Two things I don't look forward to are homework and making lunches.

p.s. good luck on buying your own beach house.

This is my girls second week of school. THey start way too early, IMO. I miss the summer scheduled, relaxed way we go about our day but like 3togetready said, the fighting when they are home makes me glad they're in school, LOL. I do miss them though.

My kids don't go back until after Labor Day but we are going away next week so I feel like this is our last week of vacation (even though we'll be at the beach next week). I'm not ready for them to go back. We've had a really great summer and I hate to see it end.

We love the summer but are ready to get back into the routine. Mine went back yesterday. Come April, I'll be ready for them to be out again!

I can't believe my dd goes back to school next week. They didn't get out until June 19th. It seems like summer just started. The start of school next week also means I have to return to work. I sub at the local High School. I assume I will back at work sometime the first week of school.

Yea, our summer didn't turn out how I'd hoped. It has been so hot here (100+) that we couldn't really go outside to do much of anything. The parks were empty. Well, it has finally cooled down but because of rain! Now the kids go back to school Monday...<sigh>
