Have you heard of this pottery made in Poland? I am from the US, now living in Germany. Many of my girlfriends say, "OMG, you HAVE to get me this pottery." Maybe it's because I've been around all of you sales gurus that I don't understand the price of this stuff. What is it about it that makes it so pricey/collectible. Most of the people I know who have it don't use it, it's just on display.

Very pretty! Wow, might have to ask my mom if she can study this technique and make some (for me!) -- she is a potter.

From what I understand it is alot cheaper if you buy it in Poland. If you watch the thrift stores sometimes get pieces in.

What is the word for Thrift Shop in German? I'd like to go to some. How do I find them?

I have a set of mugs of this pottery. I see it in HomeGoods, TJ Maxx all the time. I even saw it at The Christmas Tree Shoppe.

I use mine all the time. It is meant to be used, The ones you find in TJ Maxx are not usually the nicer patterns.

I know all about this type of pottery because my husband is 100 percent Polish and his parents were born in Poland and they have many pieces in their collection. My late mother in law used to have many on display, since her passing my father in law only keeps out a few. There were some pieces that are expensive. I never even knew they were avaiable here in TJMaxx now I got to take a look. Peace. Catherine
