She's 1000 pounds and bed ridden....... WHY was she watching a 2 year old in the first place?!?!? she cant help him if he got into something he shouldnt!

This poor boy, first to be left with someone uncapable of taking care of him, and then to die some horrible way. What would they do with this woman if she is found guilty? She pretty much is already in prison, and a global positioning device on her? Where is she going to go?

What a terrible story. Not only was she bed-bound, but she had a learning disability and a life-threatening disease. Sounds like the mom should be held accountable as well.

And who the heck is feeding her???? I always wonder about that on the shows with the bedridden heavy folks. Who are enabling them? They should be charged with something!

imho - if she has the strength to lift her arms to feed herself all of the food she must be consuming each and everyday, then she probably has the strength to hit a child pretty hard. Heck, she could have just dropped her arm into his head and the sheer weight of it would have hurt him.

I'm not saying that she did however but I think the defense is lacking.

You left out such an important part of the story that it changes the entire meaning!

All attorneys claim that their client is innocent! It's their job. 1000 lbs or not, his client is managing to get around enough that she could have easily killed a two year old child in her care. And why couldn't she have hit him while he was on her bed? She could. I don't know if she did or not but I wouldn't conclude that she's innocent just because her lawyer says so! LOL.

Wow, I wonder who is going to take care of this fat lady while she is in jail.

Maybe if she went to jail she'd loose some weight, thyroid problem or not, you can't gain it if you don't eat it.

According to the story I read, she is not going to jail. They can not figure out how to get her out of her house or how to house her at the jail. They have come to the house, finger printed her and took her photo but she was "released".

When I read this I thought the same thing just the sheer force behind 1000 lbs behind her could kill the child. Even if she didnt mean too. Maybe the child feel and hit his head and of course she couldnt get up. Maybe she was gonna discipline him and with all that force it killed him. All I know the mom should of known better then to have left him with someone like that. I think the mom was charged or was gonna be. I wonder if this wasnt the first time she had left him with her.
