Do you all use the ignore lists? I didn't for a long time, but I've started again recently. Frankly, I'd be perfectly happy if the people who seem to be driven mad by my every sentence would put me on their ignore lists and I'll be glad to reciprocate. No point in us making each other crazy, right?

I have used the ignore list in the past. However, the problem I ran into was when someone on my ignore list posted, and then someone NOT on my ignore list replied to them, using the "quote" option, then I would see what the person I was trying to ignore, had to say.

BREATHE!!! that was a mouthful.

I don't know if this has since been changed or not, or if you will see this reply or not.

I haven't used it because there really aren't any posters that I don't want to know what they post. There are a few posters that make me shake my head and I feel like I have to respond because their post is so outrageous but I don't want to ignore those posts. Then the other person has won! LOL

One wonders if it's the same person or persons that are driven mad by your very sentence or are your posts met w/ a collective madness?

For instance--I find some of your posts maddening, but not all, thus I do find some things you post to be of benefit and wouldn't want you on ignore. But, if the overwhelming majority of members found you consistently being causing chaos, then maybe it's YOU and not them.

in the past I have found at least two posters that it didn't matter what they posted--to me it was offensive, hateful, ignorant, irritating or otherwise a nuisance; so I placed them on ignore.

And just like the weather, people's attitudes, thoughts and opinions change--so, what I might find offensive today may not be the same tomorrow. Someone who posted something incredibly stupid today, might post something incredibly enlightening tomorrow....

I don't use the ignore list, but when a thread goes off-track and starts resembling one of my teen's myspace dramas, I just stop following/reading it. There is so much good information and advice on this site- that is what I like to focus on

Since she got booted off, my ignore list then became empty.

There isn't anyone here I would want to ignore right now. There are a few I have on my "watch" list..lol ... but that is only my own way of telling myself to be leary of them and try to stay away from engaging with them.

I love truble's posts! She is incredibly smart, states her case in a very calm manner, with a matter-of-fact sense that I enjoy reading. Even if she disagrees with me, I listen and ponder what she has to say. I will revisit it, because I know she is not out to attack me, she is sincerely sharing her opinion in a smart, sensible manner.

Maybe some here might take notes.

The problem I have now with this place, is it was going so good for a long while. Then I noticed some of the old posters started coming back to the mix. Then the alias's started up, then all of a sudden the pack clique mentality began. It is almost like I can see YFB all over again.

Do these people not realize that there are many of us who remember who were the trouble makers way back when? Further, 0bviously these people haven't changed enough for us NOT to know who they are. It is so apparent it is sickening.

Oh well... some people are just very bored and have waaaayyy too much time on their hands.

I have used the ignore list but then what is the point? I just have to read it, I don't have to live with it, I can skip over it just the same. I don't come here that much anyways, when this board first started up it was quite nice and light hearted.

I think it would be easier on you if you just accept that it is. Whether you understand it or not, there's a LOT of members that aren't reading what you have to say because they find it irritating to see Peace in every post - especially in your thread titles. Don't you think that's a bit much? Anything is meaningless when you repeat it over and over again. And over and over and over!

Why didn't you take my suggestion to place PEACE in your signature line instead? It would save you a LOT of typing and wouldn't irritate anybody. It's completely up to you but if you really do want to make friends the way you said, then wouldn't it be a good idea to stop doing something that you KNOW bugs them? Just something to think about!

I don't think that anyone should have to change to suit another. You do what makes you happy. If it means that some don't like you over a silly little word, then so be it. They obviously have issues much deeper than you removing a word could ever fix.

But, I do not stand behind any trouble makers. If this is what happened on another board, as kelly said, please don't let it happen here. Same goes for the others that are pushing you. If you all have a problem, take it somewhere else.....that gives a damn and wants to have their message board clogged up with this kind of childish banter.

I don't use the ignore button, I just skip over posts I see that don't interest me. If a post offends me, sometimes I will jump in, sometimes not depends on what it is. There are a couple of people here whose postings really get on my nerves and I think they really have some nerve going off on people like that, but then a couple of days later they do it in a different post and I'm thinking, "yea, that REALLY needed to be said". It's all just a matter of opinion.

As far as the PEACE thing, it doesn't bother me a bit, but there are plenty of other signature lines, a few photos/avatars and that type thing I haven't cared for, but each of us is an individual. I wouldn't post saying I don't like your avatar it annoys me or your signature line unless it was REALLY vulgar or offensive and I think the board would take care of that. I mean if we are going to start picking on individuals I'm sure each one of us has many faults that can be listed.

HOWEVER, I am disappointed as the way this place is going to the shi*tter with all of the fighting, backbiting, abusiveness and out-right rudeness. I am a little ticked, because this is MY Place as well as so many others. These people (are you in a hole that you can't see the crap that is being done to others????) are making this place unbearable and ruining what was once a nice place to visit. I am, however, tired of partaking in these threads that turn out to only be a discussion about how bad it is here, or feeling like I have to stick up for others that are being picked on.
