Recently I was talking to some women and one woman says, "OMG, just because I'm a blonde doesn't mean I'm stupid." I guess I was sort of confused, as she is obviously a bottle blond with very dark roots. My question is, when people say blonde people are less than smart, do they mean true blondes or bottle -- maybe my question is really, "What is a blonde?" Wait, now I'm confused myself ...

No really answering your question because I refuse to deal in stereotypes of any type, but as Dolly Parton said about being a dumb blonde.: I know I'm not dumb and I know I'm not a blonde.

The first thought that popped into my mind, considering she is not natural and considering she would have even brought that up and said it out loud, is that she was seeking attention. I think she is trying to attract attention to herself.

my dd has dark hair but the things that come out of her mouth we call her blonde...lol. she is so random and says the most obvious things but doesnt get it til you explain it to her...lol. we are use to it.

To answer the question...I would think that they are talking about ANY blonde...natural or dyed...whatever state they are in now...I'm a brunette...but I've gone the "foiled" blonde route or should I say root before. Do blondes have more fun? Hmmmmmmmmm. The jury is still out on that one. From my experience of being both, I definitely would say that I think men prefer blondes. I feel more comfortable now that I'm back to being a brunette though. Blonde just wasn't for me. As the saying goes, Blondes have more fun, but brunettes are sexier. Hee hee. Just kidding...How you feel is just your attitude...any color hair...Heck, I have some bald friends and they seem to have the most fun of all...at least they don't have to deal with bad hair days! ~Lisa
