My fingers are swolen!

Anyone have any tips of remedies for swolen fingers? My fingers are like sausages today and I had to take my ring off

I just did a search and there are many reasons for this . Try doing a search so that you can pick out what might be wrong with your fingers. Hope you feel better soon.

I have arthritis and my hands/fingers swell a lot especially when it is really hot and muggy outside. I keep a couple of homemade freezer packs in the freezer when my fingers swell. Just use a couple of ziploc freezer bags and place a 70% water/30%alcohol ratio in it and let it freeze. It will be somewhat icy, but not frozen solid so it will conform to your hands/fingers. I usually just let it sit on my hands until they feel better.

Sometimes if I eat too much salt for dinner or alcohol in the evening, my fingers are swollen when I wake up. I find that drinking a lot of water helps flush my system and rehydrate my cells as swelling is often a sign of dehydration.

I hope that you figure out what is causing it so that this doesn't happen again. Best wishes.

Mine do that too, when I use them a lot. I take 2 Naxproxen and that usually helps somewhat.

Cut back on your salt intake and start drinking alot more water. Ibuprofen couldn't hurt either. That might not be it, but it's a start.
