What do you do with your kids' old sports jerseys?

I am amassing quite a collection of soccer, baseball, football, etc. jerseys from my kids sports and don't know what to do with them. I don't want to get rid of them, but they don't wear them and they're just hanging in the closet taking up space. Would love to hear what others do with theirs. Please don't suggest a quilt b/c I can't sew AT ALL!

I guess you could do like they would do on Trading Spaces and staple them to the wall of your childs bedroom. lol My kids only played soccer and we still had a bunch of shirts. I kept them and then asked the kids if they wanted to keep any of them. They both picked out only one and the rest I donated. I have seen quilts and they do turn out cute. Maybe you can find someone that would make it for you.

Make a big quilt out of them if you want to keep them otherwise take a picture of each one to make a collage or something. You don't want to be one of those people who collects something until it's useless and just a dust collector!

I was going w/ quilt too, until I read your last line-I can't sew either. With four sons, we have amassed quite a few. I just let the kids wear them until they get too gross, or if they get too small, I can just pass it down to the next kid. Wish I could be of more help.

You can give the shirts to someone in your area who sews just look under "alterations" or "sewing" there are people who will do this with love.

I saw this in a magazine once & the picture was very cute! Find some corkboard & cut to match the shirt. Pull the shirt over the corkboard, hang on the wall & use as a bulletin board.

Also, I cannot sew very much either, but I have thought about basting the sleeves, neck & waist & stuff for a bigg fluffy pillow. My kids always loved pillows. If I could sew, I would add a zipper at the waist & use it to store pajamas on the bed.

Have Fun!

My mom's church does a mission trip to Peru every summer where they work with the street children. While they are there, they distribute soccer jerseys. My kids get a new jersey every season so I just save them up and give them to my mom for the mission trips.

My kids have never been particularly attached to any of their jerseys so usually I give they away or donate them somehwere.

RePlayGround - DIY - how to turn an old sports jersey into a cool new tote bag

I think I may do this to my DD's jerseys. She has like 4 of them that still fit her, but she doesn't wear them unless she's playing a sport.

I like the pillow idea too!

Put them in a big frame, folded. Make a collage!
It would look awsome and year down the road they will love it!
