Underwear

I wear thongs but recently I cfound out I am pregnant. Ye3sterday I went fo rmy first OB visit and put on granny panties. I was uncomfortable all day long until them bad things came off. What did you ladies wear to or do you wear to doctors appointments. Does ti change knowing that you have to undress?

Congrats on your pregnancy When are you due? I have all styles of underware, I wear whatever I grab from the drawer when I wake up. It doesn't matter if I know I have to undress since I am always alone in the exam room when I undress I just stick my uderwhere inside of my pants when I fold them or put my shirt over them so no one can see

I wear thongs all the time. When I was pg with dd I wore them until my 8th month. With ds I only made it about 1/2 way through the pg, then switched to old fart undies (which drove me completely mad).

I cannot wear a thong to save my life it feels like I have a Melvin (wedgie) all day and I am constantly pulling it out of my big old crack.

Congratulations on the bundle of joy!

No laughing here, but when I was pregnant I discovered my husbands underwear and still wear mens underwear today. They are the jockey elance kind, bikini I think, It is like a full size normal underwear without an opening or crotch panel. They look just like a womans underwear. Come 3 to a box. They have a wider crotch and bottom area than womens underwear and they were low enough they fit under my belly instead of trying to go over it and then rolling down. I have never worn a thong though but absolutely cannot stand crawly up panties and these do not do that since they are wider in those 2 areas. They just seem to stay put. Womens underwear to me never compeletely covered my private parts. Maybe I have a strange shaped body though.

Thank you all for the answers. The baby is due April 20 but it will be an early c-section. I personally like the date April 4th. I ws wearing the all day cotton panties yesterday - not so comfy. I like the idea of mens undies maybe some boxers? I thiink I will just stay with the thongs until they are to uncomfortable.

I thank you all for your help.

Maybe you will have your baby on my birthday April 5 that would make her/him strong, smarts, beautiful, sensitive, and spiritual and someone who will change the world! LOL

I am an old granny so I wear old granny panties.
But they are very pretty ones.
Pretty undies are my weakness!

I like pretty well anything from The Gap, bought when they're on sale. No thongs, though. I bought a size up, because I wasn't sure what size to get, and wore them throughout my pregnancy. Then again, I only really showed in my last six weeks. Before then, it would have only been obvious if I hadn't been wearing much. They're pretty cute and harmless looking, so no worries wearing them to the doctor's office.

I would say wear what you are comfortable in! For goodness sakes! We're uncomfortable enough just being preggers, why make your booty miserable! LOL

For me personally I wore bikini underwear all through my pregnancy. I hated anything around my waistline, it just drove me nuts! The bikinis came under the belly, for me it was comfortable even 9 mo pregnant with twins!

I usually wear thongs or low-rise boy shorts/hip huggers. I think the boy shorts/hip huggers would be more comfortable pregnant.

Last I had a baby- the doctor never saw my undies so I wore whatever I wanted

I really only like the lace thongs with the thicker strip in the center- no butt floss for me, please! lol

I prefer hi cut briefs as an every day panty because they hold the fat on my hips in when I am wearing pants that show every bulge.

I wore thongs with the last 2 pregnancies because I was out and about working and hwat not. But this time I am a stay at home mommy so panty lines don't bother me as much. My Dr. (she was a girl) commented on my cute undies one time when she was measuring me or listening to the heartbeat (I can't remember which) they were a strange color blue (my favorite color) and some soft silky material - from VS. Normally they never see the undies except on those rare occasions when they are just doing something with your belly - like measurements/heartbeat/ or ultrasound. Otherwise you get undressed by yourself. And once you have one baby everyone has seen your girl parts and modesty kind of goes out the window.

If you like thongs, I would continue to wear them as long as you're comfortable. I like bikini style or hi cut. I would just wear them during my pregnancies. The doctor didn't see them anyway as you had to undress anyway from the waist down before he came in. I never liked anything covering my belly. I think I tried those maternity panties during my first pregnancy. They didn't last long....ewwwwwww! Anyway, congrats to you on your pregnancy! ~Lisa

I've never been pregant but anytime I've gone to the dr for my yearly exam I just wore my regular undies. Nobody ever saw them since I was alone to undress and I stuck the undies inside my pants once I had them off.

I LOVE the Hanes with no tags and the covered waistband. The only type I buy anymore but I have wondered if the boxer briefs guys wear would be comfy. They sure look like they would be.

God I am laughing because with my 1st pregnancy all I wanted was to buy maternity and I remember those gross BIG undies that went up to my boobs. Boy I learned just go up a size or two.

Wow -not ONE person loved those crazy big 'ol maternity underwear?

To me, they were comfort panties - like mac and cheese is comfort food! LOL!

The only problem became that many months postpartum, I didn't want to part with them, although they were majorly compromising my daily clothing selections...

I finally got over it, and went back to my stylin' bikini bottoms. But I miss the days of those big crazy cotton maternity panties! Can't believe I'm alone here...
