If you could change your first name what would you change it to?

I always hated my name so if I could change it I would change it from Nancy (yuk) - to Kathleen. Its my sisters name and I want it!

NANCY:

An acquaintance of mine actually DID change her first name! Our daughters were in preschool together for two years and I didn't know her well at the time. I was a little taken aback when the class list came home the second year and a "new" mother was listed for this child...and then the family walked in and she looked like the one I knew...Later she told me that all her life she never felt like her given name and always wanted the name Anna. Her husband still calls her by her given name, though. It still makes for very interesting moments!

I love my name.
I have a cousin who changed her first name---well, she actually just dropped her first name of Bertha.

My real name's Jeannette. I didn't like it too much when I was a kid and everyone called me Jenny instead.
I like it a lot more now.

my son who we always called by his middle name <Stephen> has adopted Steve as his name, he hates his first name but it's a family name and his dad also has the name.

Holy crap! I am also Nancy, also hate it and also have a sis Kathleen who's name I would love to have. I'd take my other sis's name as well, Maureen. I'd love to be Kate or Mo.

Thats weird ha. I also love my other siblings name which is Billy and he`s my brother but when he had a girl he named her Billy instead of his son.

When my sister Kathleen was born my mother wanted to call her Nancy but the grandparents said that it sounded too much like a nanny goats name so they named her Kathleen.

One year later I guess they were into nanny goats cause they named me that. nice ha!

I am fine with my first name Anne-Marie. I also like when people call me Annie. I would love to change my last name (to bad I got married). My maiden name was much easier.

I like my first name alot...except that there are so many Lisa's...If I had to change it, I'd pick something really different, even maybe exotic...I like Gwedolyn, Jocelyn, Francesca, Ava, Monique, Lana, and Alexis. ~Lisa

Growing up a Georganna was pretty unique. I hated it when I was younger. I always wanted to have a cool name like Nancy or Kathy (my sisters names). Or maybe something like Gabriella. Those are pretty names.

I've never been a big fan of my name (Lori) but I would never change it. I wouldn't mind being an Isabella.

Honestly when I was younger I had a best friend whose name was Yvonne and I loved it and wanted it to me mine. Of course now at years old I do love my name Catherine. so I guess it was mean't to be. Peace.Catherine
