Have you seen the OhMiBod banner ad here on MyCoupons? I just saw it here on the Cafe and wasn't sure whether it was for real or a joke. I thought that had seen the banner on my computer at work, but at home I have ads blocked so I wasn't sure if I had really seen it or not. Sometimes they pop up, you go to another page and you never see it again. I guess I really did see it.

I think its kind of ironic myself.

One of the reasons I left here as a moderator and started my own site (with Cici) is that we were told that that type of discussion was not welcomed here. That it was a "family oriented" site and God forbid a child should come across discussions of this nature. I didn't care for the censorship...you guys pretty much know the rest. TLJ was started.

Irony at it's finest.....lol

Back to the ad itself....It doesn't bother me personally, but I'm sure some folks are absolutely horrified that it would appear here.

Nope. I haven't seen the ad, and personally, I don't want to see those types of ads on MC. Don't get me wrong, I'm not a prude..... I've got lots of "toys". And if I want a new "toy", I'll seek it out. They don't have to find me, I know where they are. (LOL)

Yeah....exactly. Which was my argument at the time, but the PTB's at that time didn't agree. They wanted anything vaguely sexual censored. I think what was the last straw for me was the menstrual cup thread. Now here we are about a year later with vibrator ads on the front page. How times have changed.

Not to hijack your thread cjs.....I think it would be a pretty cool thing to have. I've got some music that I'd love to see how that thing interprets it!

Yeah, I never understood the censorship of the menstrual cup thread. Someone was talking about that time of the month, *I* shared what I used and WHOA...didn't know the controversy I was starting up LOL I think that was after I left being a mod so I didn't know the back end issues (oh no...could that phrase be taken out of context LOL). It's silly to say one thing and then allow advertising of something along the same lines (or worse).

*I* haven't seen the ad but it wouldn't bother me. No big deal. I buy my toys on Amazon (and I bet more teens are shopping Amazon than mycoupons).

Amazon sells EVERYTHING. I looked up ballet flats, browsed enough to find ballet boots, and got really interesting recommendations for some time after that.
