Since I work for Breyer's ice cream, I am obliged to say that their Oreo is pretty darn good.

HOWEVER (looking around to see if anyone is watching), I LOVE Edy's Apple Pie Ice Cream limited edition!! Yummm!!

I also bought the pumpkin ice cream to try out next month

I think my favorite ice cream depends on what I'm in the mood for. I've always preferred Breyer's over Edy's. But, since Breyer's started messing around with their 'No Sugar Added' ice cream (whipping it, or double churning it, or whatever), it really doesn't taste any better than Edy's anymore.

Some of my favorite flavors are vanilla (the real stuff w/the vanilla beans), mint chocolate chip, pumpkin pie, and some awesomey chocolate one that I've gotten at Baskin Robbins several times.... but then they switched it out and now I don't remember what it was called anymore. I'd probably have to sample all of their chocolate ice creams just to figure out which one it was.

Last summer my mother gave me about 4 gallons of blueberries (frozen) from her garden. I mixed them with Breyer's 'No Sugar Added' Vanilla (about 1/2 & 1/2) and zapped it in the microwave for a few seconds, just until it was soft. I ate that all summer long. It was sooooo goooood! :9

I'm not really an ice cream eater. I don't care for any of the store bought brands. My fave would have to be a local mom & pop (who makes their own) and it's cappachino cinnamon and I get snickers cut into it. YUMMY! I also like homemade vanilla bean and Good Time (drive thru) custard. I am more of a raspberry sorbet girl when it comes to store brands and they all pretty much taste the same.

I try to stay away from the full fat ice creams, but when I indulge its Sticky Toffee Pudding from Haagen-Daaz. It was a flavor that came out of a contest a couple years ago.

Butter pecan is my favorite. I never buy it to bring home because I know I would eat the whole thing. I only get it when we go to an ice cream store on vacation. It has always been my weakness.

Yep, Edy's (aka Dreyers) told me this is one of their best sellers. I have yet to try it. Maybe I will now!

There's a creamery here called Blue Sky that makes the best caramel ice cream. Also, I like Ben & Jerry's Strawberry Cheesecake.

I don't buy ice cream much because my 13 year old will finish off a half gallon in 2 days... what's the point if none of the rest of us can enjoy it and it just ends up in his hollow leg?

Butter pecan is my absolute favorite, with Birthday Party running a close second. Does anyone else like Birthday Party. It has ribbons of blue frosting running through it.

I rarely buy ice cream because I will eat too much. We usually go out for it, then it's only 1 serving.

When we do go out, my favorites are the coffee flavors. Sheridans is Mocha Almond, Baskin Robbins J'mocha Almond Fudge.

When I buy it, my favorite is whatever lite brand is on sale.

Cherry cake double take at Cold Stone. Yum - Cake batter ice cream with black cherries, chopped almonds, sponge cake and a drizzle of honey.

I also like Ben & Jerry's Brownie Batter or Magic Brownies.

Ok here goes,
I can't remember the last time I ate a bowl of ice cream. It is just too sweet for me in my old age. But, back in the day, I used to work at Baskin-Robbins-oh lord, I ate my weight in that ice cream. My favorite was a hot-fudge, rocky road ice cream sundae w/ the almonds on top-and lots of whipped cream. And then there was the chocolate raspberry truffle, and the grand marnier favorites. It's a good thing I quit that job when I was 16!!!

Real whipped cream couldn't be easier. Start with Heavy whipping cream and add a bit of vanilla and sugar to taste and whip. I find the hand held mixers work the best.

I love Breyers butter pecan when I buy icecream or sometimes even Klondike bars but they are full of bad things I try to avoid.

( off topic) speaking of which whats up with Breyers yogurt ....... yuck!!!

Blue Bunny makes a lemon berry pound cake flavor that is really good. It's lemon ice cream with raspberry swirl and chunks of cake in it. My favorite is Moose Tracks.
