Anyone ever try that Wash 'n Curl Shampoo?

Just wondering how well it works, or if it even works at all.

I tried it and it didnt do a thing for my very straight hair. my sister says it keeps the curls she already has from getting limp. her hair has some natural curl and its looks curlier when she washes it but as the day goes by, it looses some of the curl. she says with this shampoo, it dont loose the curl. hope this makes sense. lol

I actually like it. The first time it did nothing, then I actually read the directions! LOL!! I have naturallly curly hair and it really added some "ooomph". The only thing is, if I use it I HAVE to wash my hair the next day because it is a little gunky.

I swore I tried it when I was younger and it didn't work (or at least I sure don't remember it working), but my sister recently came over (she lives 2 hrs away so we don't see each other often), and I thought she had gotten a spiral perm her hair was soooo curly. Nope, she tried one of those wash and curl shampoo's. She got it at Rite Aid. This was just a few months ago.

I use to use it in high school. I would wash my hair and let it air dry, then I would curl my hair with a reg curling iron and the curls would stay all day without any hair spray. Bed Head makes a spray (called up-tight, it's yellow) that does the same thing except you spray it on before you curl. I LOVED the wash and curl stuff.

I use it all the time. I have wavy hair. You have to follow the directions (wash once and then when you wash the second time, leave it in like four minutes?--I think that's right). Then I use the Wash 'N Curl conditioner after. It does NOTHING for straight hair (my DD tried it and NOTHING). You HAVE to have some natural curl!! It just gives it some added "umph". Plus, I use curl enhancing spray (hairspray), too. Between the two...I have some waves AND curls!

Thanks for the info all. I found a value pack (shampoo & conditioner) at Walgreens marked down to $2.59 and thought I might give it a try. I've always wondered if it worked, but was too cheap to spend the money just to find out. (LOL) I've got some natural wave in my hair, so I hope it works.

It works, with some help.....

I have very straight hair too, I use the shampoo and conditioner and towel dry. Then I add a glob of gel and kinda scrunch it all up. It doesn't "curl" it's more of a wavy look. I like it....

I have curly spanish hair and when following the directions it makes my hair TOO curly! Since I lack the "stand around and wait" patience and dislike the smell I stopped using it. Pantene for curly hair gives me the right amount of curl and smell

Does this work if you have a perm in your hair? I've noticed everyone has mentioned having naturally curly hair and it works, but just wondering if it puts some bounce back into a perm.
