Talking I won a $100 gas gift card!! So thrilled!!

I never win anything, so I am shocked!

I received a phone call from the supermarket I use that I won the gift card in a random drawing of shoppers!

I already picked it up, and used half to fill my gas tank this morning.

Gas here is $3.22, so it worked out perfectly.

Just had to woohoo!!

Thanks all.

Yes, gas is currently $3.22 locally, and we are a mandatory full-service state, so it's great.

Of course, none of us have money for gas after they suck all the taxes & tolls & insurance out of our wallets, but it's still a nice illusion.

Ah yes...I remember when I lived in NJ (I'm from there) and not being able to pump your own gas. I think it's one of the few states left that you can't pump your own. When we first moved here, I was scared to death to pump my own gas! I was afraid I wouldn't know how to do it. Ridiculous now that I look back on it! I prefer doing it myself now. The only thing nice was when someone did it for you, your hands didn't smell like gasoline. It feels so weird going back there and waiting for the attendant to come out and do it for you. It makes you feel helpless...and you know you are capable of doing it. ~Lisa

Congrats! And I, too, am jealous of your $3.22/gal/gas as ours is at the lowest in the last 6 months or so at $3.69

Congrats momshops! What a nice surprise for you.

I haven't been anywhere today, but yesterday gas was $3.7?, up from $3.51 just 2 days before. Sure wish I would have filled up at $3.51.

W2G !! Congrats of the gas card.
Wish I had your luck or even some place to enter for a gas card LOL.

Our gas is still in the 3.60's to 3.70's. I have never heard of a state telling a person they can't pump their own gas WOW.. Do they charge extra for this >?

I can't remember the last time a gas station here had someone there pumping gas.

I do know, years ago full service stations charged a lot more for the gas seems I recall it being 20- 30 cents more per gallon.

Thanks again!

We are, I believe, the only mandatory full-service state. We are not charged extra at the pump, and usually have some of the lowest prices in the country. I hate pumping gas, and find myself always surprised when I am out of state & pull up that no one comes out to do it! It is great, though, especially in lousy weather.

We pay out the *&%^ for other things, though.
