Need housewarming gift ideas.

I am going to buy my friend some of those cloth shopping bags and was trying to come up with some stuff to add to it. I have some of the glade plug ins to add to it. Anyone else have any ideas to go with this? Thanks!

We just recently moved and I would suggest Clorox Disposable Wipes, Paper Towels and water. These were some of the first things we went to the store for and kept restocking. Perhaps get a gift card from the store where you got the bags from.(We did appreciate the Lowe's gift cards that our family sent us!)

Is this the first home?

Do they already have all appliances....? If it is a persons 2nd home I like to give a house plant in a nice pot.

Print out this Traditional Housewarming "poem" on fun paper and include the items:

Bread - So you never go hungry.
Wine - So your life is always sweet.
Salt - So there is always spice in your life.
And a Candle - So you always have light.

Thanks for the ideas. I'm trying to make it a "green" gift. I bought 2 of the eco-bulbs that were B1G1 FREE this week. I like the microfiber towel idea too. WHere can I find those? Does Linens N Things carry them where I can use a coupon?

Cute idea! Fitting with the green theme would be any eco-friendly household cleaning products or things with high post-consumer recycled materials (take a look at 7th generation products for example - Green Products -Environmental Products -Environmentally Friendly Products - they have printable coupons if you sign up). You might also consider adding some gardening tools, seeds, etc - these things should be clearancing about now. Perhaps put a live plant, indoor herb garden, Chia pet .

To keep with the theme, I think I'd forgo the glade plugins as they are not very eco-friendly consuming power to fragrance the home Perhaps a candle instead.

hope that helps.
