Nicole is right. Too bad we are all not so perfect.
Why to people need to "ROFL" at another person, isnt that like a second grade thing...most of us are adults and dont need to make fun of others.
Keep us up to date about the book, I love learning things about other cultures. When CeeCee (my cousins boy friend) stayed at my familiy's cabin with us, we caught fish, and he grilled them Jamaican style. It was so delicious. My DH caught and fillet a bunch of bass, and Cee Cee kept the heads for soup (much to my cousins non amusement LOL).
I would try his fish head soup, because that man can cook!! (I also got to try some real jerk)

most of what i eat down there in ja is fish; every single day but ts good for you!

We always filleted, like Blackjuice describes..the way Cee Cee made them I guess is the way his jamaican Mama taught him...
We had different types of fish we caught, mostly smallmouth bass, walleye and even a small carp (I never tried that before, but it was great)
He slit open the belly, cleaned it out, washed the insides, and put his seasonings inside where the innards were. Then he wrapped them in foil and cooked them over an open fire. When the fish came out, the skin stuck to the foil, the skeleton lifted out just like a cartoon fish skeleton, and what was left was delish seasoned fish (meat).

CeeCee said they were very poor, and on Sunday, you had a good fish dinner, Monday, it was cakes made from the fish, and Tuesday, you had fish tea, which was a broth made from the scraps that were left..

congrats and good luck on making some money off of it.

and to the other person who says it sounds like every other place in the world, that may be true but my book is about what i personally experienced in Jamaica. Now when you been to every other place in the world, you too can write about what you personally experienced there eh? lol

I guess that's probably true, in general. Just my style, take it or leave it. Love it or hate it. No apologies from me.

What I meant is that it sure doesn't sound as if you'll paint a flattering picture of the country....therefore, I don't think that tourism bureau is apt to promote your book. Nothing wrong with a good expose though!

What is the process to getting a book poublished. You said you were looking for an agent. Would placing it on Ebay prior to getting representation cause a problem?

Did you have to employ an editor to correct errors and how did you print it out in preparation for selling it?

She can either try to find an agent to represent her or she can query publishing houses herself using _The Writer's Market_ which is published yearly. Yes, selling a copy through ebay could make selling it to a publishing house problematic but with editing, re-writes and, perhaps, a new title it would likely be fine.

not changing my title, its been throughly edited and my hunt for a publisher or literary agent continues.

im quite happy with my work and the few who have read it so far have found it fascinating.

HATE ON HATERS lolol as i watch the money pile up lolol. in the nick of time too because i was BROKE! lol just kidding

I am sure this wasn't directed at me. I merely asked some neutral questions about the process of publishing a book and I get back this with none of my questions answered.

And as for punctuation- online when I am "talking" on mycoupons or another site- I am really relaxed and rarely use the correct grammer, sentence structure, or punctuation.
Now if I were being graded on this it would be another story, but we are not
