Anyone w/ seasonal allergies?

I have been having wet, sticky, runny eyes for the last couple of days. First I thought it was my make-up, but I woke up this a.m., and it's doing it again. It's not pink eye. I have never had allergy problems until a few years ago, and only sinus-type stuff in the spring. While it is Sept., we haven't really changed seasons. Could it be seasonal allergies? Gross alert-my eyes are puffy, and last eve, I actually felt drainage under the eye.

Could be seasonal allergies--- but I never "guess" where eyes are concerned. I suggest you go to a Dr. to find out what the cause is. If it's allergies, they can give you eyedrops (I use Patanol, it's great!). JMHO Good luck.

Ours are all going crazy here too. We all take Claritin daily but it's not getting it. Are you sure it's not pink eye?

My husband has horrible seasonal allergies all his life. Nothing worked (even going to his allergist and taking shots never really helped). His doctor told him to use Zyrtec and it has completely changed his life. Really! He has no problems whatsoever now with allergies. He takes it once a day every day at night.

I saw a report on TV that this is the worst year EVER for allergies.

People who have never had before have them this year!

Zyrtec is good but it makes me sleepy so I take it at night.

PS;
They took the script off of Alcon Eye Drops, (Eye Allergy Relief )

I have year round allergies and this year is terrible! The fall is the worst for me---ragweed!

Napcon-A (same as Alcon as listed above) is GREAT! It use to be a prescription but went over the counter a couple of years ago. There is also a generic for it (MUCH cheaper). Wal-Mart's brand is Eye Allegy Relief. The main active ingredient you are looking for is Naphazole HCL (plus it may have another ingredient Pheniramine).

I wake up alot of mornings (in the spring and fall are the worst) with the same eye "discharge". Two drops in the morning work great for me. You can use it up to four times a day. IT WORKS!

I have allergies really bad, and have had them ever since I was born.

I am trying something new. I had heard about taking a teaspoon a day of locally harvested honey. It is supposed to totally stop seasonal/pollen type allergies from happening.

I will let you know next year! But this year I have been suffereing so bad, right with all of you!

I tried that a few years ago and I ended up in bed with what I thought was death (turned out to be a serious allergy attack). I eat honey from other places all the time without problems.

It's our area Linnybop. When the seasons start to change, new allergies appear. THis is the time of year that I suffer the most. The fall weather is great, but I need to take a Zyrtec every night.
There are prescription eye drops for allergy sufferers that your doctor can prescribe. I need them during the fall weather.
By the way, Happy Birthday a day late! I'll call you later.

Try taking a full glass of water. Your symptoms are also those of dehydration.

I have bad allergies too. This sounds alot like ragweed allergy, or have you been around any cats. Cats are the worse on my eyes. I started taking Singulair for my asthma this summer and it is also doing wonders for my allergies. I am not suffering this year although those around me are.

Thanks guys! I didn't realize you could get the drops w/o a script. I will try them. It was really bad when I woke up yesterday a.m., and worse the day before. I decided not to wear makeup yesterday and it was better, but now I woke up again and it's back, so I am sure it's the allergies. I tell ya', no makeup and puffy eyes makes for a really pretty girl! Thanks Kellyboysmom for your b-day wishes. Can't wait for our trip next month!

I have had bad allergies, HAD is the key until I found Advanced Allergy Therapeutics. Here is some info on the treatment. ALLERGY RELIEF CENTERS - There is a way to live FREE from allergies!

I suffered something awful. Lots of medicine that owuld make me tired. At one point I was on eye drops, nose drops and an oral script. Finally after a horrible nose bleed [from using Flonase] that sent me to the ER. I couldn't take it any longer so I went for this treatment and since May of 08 I have been off all meds. I am actually going back for a sinus treatment because I hae sinus issues. Read the info if you have time and see if anyone in your area offers this or even that you can talk to about it. Honestly I am amazed at the results.
