I finally got a nintendo wii and wii fit board. They will be a Christmas present for dauhter. I was hoping that someone who has a wii could tell me what else I need to get to make sure that I have everything needed to be able to use and enjoy it. (it's the sports wii, with 1 controler and 1nunchuck) Thank you for your help. |

We have a wii, and one thing we have found is we go through Batteries like crazy. They sell a charger for the wii, but what I do, is use my regular battery charger for my batteries and I have several sets and I always keep a spare set that is fully charged. I would also get another remote and numchuck. I dont know much about the wii fit, we dont have one yet.

I agree with the battery charger and the extra controller and nunchuck. We bought a rayovac for $6 at Walmart and a few packs of rechargeable batteries. We love our Wii Fit. All 3 of us use it almost everyday! It makes for some great family time. You really don't need anything else for it. Enjoy! |

Ours just came today too! I can't wait to start using it, but it's for DS's birthday. We told him no party and a couple of us pitched in on it for him. It's our first video game! We live in the dark ages.

Definately buy a Wii Play. It comes with a controller and the game. It is awesome, has Pool, fishing, cow ...yes cow racing! (it is fun and such a riot, and find the miis to name a few of the 9 games on the disc. It is awesome! We all love it. My kids and me all love boom blox and Mario Kart. We also have the wii fit but nothing extra just the original game that came with the balance board. My son turns 8 in oct and is asking for the new star wars game and the light saber controller peice. Have fun... we all love the Wii!

Mario Kart is a great game for everyone, along with Wario Ware. I would suggest renting some games once you have the wii up and running, so many games my kids thought they would love, they didn't like. We have chargers for our wiimotes also. Otherwise it seemed like we were eating batteries! You love it! I never played video games before the wii. Oh, we also all like guitar hero too!

chargers....a must! My kids love the Simpson's game and Mario Galaxy and Mario Party 8. We like the Wii sports (came with our Wii). I got the kids Wii Fit but it's an xmas gift although I really want to open it up! Only thing I have heard is that it will tell you that you are obese at a certain weight. . DH is 6'4" and 220 and by the charts, he's considered obese but the man is in the shape of his life (exercises a lot!)...I can just see the computer telling him he's obese and him throwing it out the window LOL Hopefully I can turn that feature off (anyone know?)

We don't have one, so I don't know if you can turn off the feature - but one of my friends got this for their family and it told her DD that she was obese. I couldn't really believe it. The girl is 10 years old and she is overweight, but to tell a 10 year old that in front of everyone I thought was a little overboard. She didn't know what it meant, but I thought that was bad. |
