100 plus cats at our little spca

If you are thinking about a cat, please visit the spca. I was there for some volunteer work, and the cat cages, cat rooms and cages full of kittens all need homes. The dog situation is not so dire...
If you are looking for a pet, please check out the animal shelter....they even have parakeets, guinea pigs and hamsters and rabbits (our rabbit, Mabbey, was a dog pound rabbit, and the sweetest thing you can imagine, as were every dog I have owned )
Just keep them in mind

Thats where my Shadow came from the Animal Shelter, the same cage Sheba came from a year prior. I think its a dire situation everywhere I told the vet yesterday I was done with cats and all animals for a long time and she gave me that look she knows I am not she is probably right. We're down to Cammie, the new kitten Chan and the mean old Mittens who was supposed to be at the farm by now and one hermit crab as we had a hermit crab fatality while we were gone, of all the animals we have had over the years most have been rescues from either the streets here, someone who could not care for them, fosters or from the shelters if only people would be responsible and spay or neuter them there would not be so many unwanted, maltreated animals in the world.

When we were in Florida dealing with my Mom they had raided a puppy mill and it was a sad situation and DH wanted to bring home several of the Yorkie Terriers home that had just been allowed up for adoption, if things go as planned and they never do here I would have my own little animal rescue when we relocate to Florida and I would focus on the exotics like Iguanas and ferrets who many do not realize just how much care they need or what type of care they really need.

When I am ready and trust me it will happen the animal shelter will be seeing me for a new kitty.

Our shelter was so over run with kitties they were giving them away for FREE. I wanted one really bad....but, we have enough. I did get my puppy from the Humane Society. She's had a LOT of problems, but, her hair is finally growing back in, and she is set to get spayed on Tuesday. WOO HOO!!!!
