true or false

I have just grown my nails long for the first time. DO you have true nails or false. If you have them professionally done how much do you pay?

I have my own nails. I'm lucky they have always been very strong. Back scratch anyone?

I have very thin and weak natural nails. I was getting acrylics done professionally. I have since taught myself to do my own acrylic nails.

Natural nails. Fake nails only harm your natural nails. During the spring and summer I have them manicured every month for $12 each time. In the fall and winter...forget about it! My busy season for my online business is fall and winter and my nails are broken and peeling all the time because of the boxes, tape and packaging. The cold doesn't help either LOL. I keep a hardener on them and it helps but not much when you deal with the dry paper and boxes.

Right now I have my natural nails, due to budget cuts in this house. I miss my fake nails-I like the pink and white. It always makes me feel so girly-girly to have them as my own nails are so ugly. I removed the acrylics in June, and am was so surprised at how horrible my own nails were underneath. I only had about three applications/fills. Since I removed them, my nails have been splitting and gross. Not sure if they switched to new products or what. I have been using a Sally Hansen product, and that seems to be helping a bit, but I will never have long luxurious, or even pretty nails on my own.

I have very thin super sharp nails. I have to keep them very short.
Acrylics hurt so much and never stuck to my original nails without lifting.

Mine are real. Don't have time to get the fake nails on and I can't have them on at work so why bother.

I have nails you LOVE to hate. My nails grow too fast. I cut my nails atlease 3 times a month because they grown so fast. I don't like long nails( as in a few inches that is). I keep my nails about 1/3 to 1/2 inch long all the time. I have only 1 time had fasle nails and it about ruined my natural nails. Never again and to tell you the truth, it hurt like hell when I knocked one nail off. the pain was horrible !! this has been I know 5 or more years ago and I swear I can still feel the pain when I knocked that false nail off.

My natural nails are good, but with my job, I cant keep them long, and the nail poish pulls back on natural nails because of the oils in your nail, and I dont have the time to fuss about with polish. I also like to garden and sew. I never cared for the look of the long claw like nails from the salon, but I do admit the shorter ones with a nice french manicure are pretty. I just keep mine trimmed and buffed and use a nail white pencil and my hands sort of have a natural french manicure
The tools I use last for years (buffer, nail scissors and nail white pencil) and the result suits me fine.

Mine are real/natural, and up until about 2 weeks ago they were all super long..... the longest I've been able to grow them since highschool. (LOL) My nails are hard and strong, but I usually have trouble getting them to all grow out to the same length. Inevitably, after they get so long, one starts to crack/split on the side of my fingernail (near the quick) and I have to end up cutting it down. Then another one cracks/splits, and so forth.... so I just cut them all down and start over. (Which is where I'm at now. )

I had acrylics for the first time, last year. It took me quite awhile to get use to them. I always assumed they'd be good to satisfy an itch, but to my surprise they weren't. I never had one "knock" off, or fall off.... but, it hurt like H3LL when I would accidentally catch my finger on something and pull one back! The best thing about them though, was that the nail polish lasted forever, without chipping!

Mine are natural, and I keep them kind of short during the summer. During the winter, I leave them grow.

I have found the most amazing product for those that have thin and brittle nails. It's made by "Qtica" and is their "Natural Nail Growth Stimulator". My nails were so brittle and constantly peeling. Since I've started using this, they are so strong and haven't peeled! (I found it at a salon I was having a manicure done at)

I have my own nails. I am lucky that they grow quickly and are strong. I have never had a manicure, or a pedicure. I think that is something I might like to try. I am just too cheap to pay to have someone else do my nails.

Mine are natural but I can't wear polish due to my job (red polish on white surveys makes for unhappy clients). I did try false nails but I have a deep curve to my nails and they just pop right off (including acrylics)

Real nails. Most of the time they don't stand a close up!

Natural here.......I have horrid nails, terribly weak and thin. Doesn't matter how short I keep 'em I can still find a way to break 'em. My BFF took me to get acrylics one time for mother's day, they looked nice, but only lasted a few days. Ive just accepted my hatred towareds my nails!

I have beautiful nails they are natural. I keep them as long as I can naturally. I do manicures for $7 at the beauty schools no fake nails. I have nothing against them they are just not for me.

I have a weird neurosis (imagine that LOL!) that when I break two nails I shorten the rest. It takes me only about three or four weeks to grown them. The more you do with your hands the faster they grown and the stronger they are. Every piano player I have ever known has beautiful strong nails.

I have my own and get them manicured for $25 at a local salon. $5 extra for french tips. I only do this if I have an event coming up otherwise I just use light/natural colors
My nails are very soft and peel often so I keep them very short. They look like I bite them, but I don't. I just peel them often just because!

I have real nails, and I pay $16 to have a manicure. It's worth every penny, as she does this amazing hand treatment, and makes my polish last a long time.

Natural nails
I use OPI Nail Envy. I've used it since it came out so about 10 years or so. I swear by it.
