YouTube - Timothy Ferriss - How to Peel Hard-boiled Eggs w/o Peeling. My friend just sent this to me and I know I am not the only person tht struggles with this.

My kids and I had a lot of fun with this a couple of weeks ago. It does actually work, but you have to blow fairly hard. A few times we got a really loud high-pitched whistle out of the egg and the kids loved that. I didn't do the baking soda bit, though, I'll have to add that next time and see if it really makes a difference.

Boiling an egg for twelve minutes? Sounds too rubbery to me. Once the water boils I turn off the pan and just let it sit and my eggs are perfect. If I leave them in a bowl of water in the fridge all night they are a breeze to peel. I don't want to eat eggs someone blew on yuck.

I dunno....doesn't seem that gross to me....I rinse hard boiled eggs after peeling anyways. Actually kinda neat - I have a couple in the fridge and think I'll try it.

I'll have to try the baking soda thing. I wonder if I have the lung power to do this! It looks like fun.

Have any of you ever done the raw egg in vinegar for a few days? Be sure to store in a jar with lid. After the egg 'does it's thing', put it in corn syrup for a few days. And then, to top it off, put it in water with food coloring in it for a few days... This was my son's science fair experiment one year -- cell osmosis.

My son did the vinegar

in 3rd grade for his science project which made the egg bounce. My daughter loves experiments so I may have to try the one Cuthie mentioned.

I saw this a few weeks ago. My first thought was exactly what dollydeal said, "ewww", but then I couldn't stop thinking about it. I had to try it. I boiled 3 eggs, my first egg I couldn't get it to work, second egg worked, but you need a lot of lung power. The third egg I just peeled like I usually do. The baking soda seemed to make the peeling easier, no need to spew your germs all over everyone's eggs. Just my opinion.
