How much does your teenager spend in a week?

I'm curious how much the average teenager spends in a week -- on eating out and other entertainment, school lunches, etc. I'm trying to figure out how much is "reasonable"!

My 13 year old eats lunch at school and it costs 2.10 per day. Occasionally she will buy something extra but that is like once every few weeks and then its only like .60 extra. As far as entertainment goes, we pay for her teen activites at church, which are 2 times a month. Occasionally she does something else with a friend, but depending on what it is and how much sometimes I will pay for it. Most of her entertainment is with our church teen group and usually one activity a month costs around 10-15 dollars and the other is around 4 or less.

I give my boys a check to cover the cost of their school lunch. 16yo works, so covers his own entertainment expenses. I probably give ds14 about 40.00 per month, sometimes a little less, sometimes a little more, depending on what his plans are.

It's football season now - I usually give him about $7 - $4.00 admission & some pocket change. That's every week. Usually once or twice a month he'll want to go to the movies - that's $10 - 20, depending on if
he's going with friends or taking a girl.

Our 15 yo gets $40 a week. $10 goes for his guitar lessons.

He takes his lunch, or buys it.. it's up to him what he wants to do.

I have encouraged him to save his money. He broke his cell phone, and wants a new one. I told him to save his money to get one He still hasn't saved it all up..so it will be a good lesson for him.

Lunch is $1.85 a day, and we pay for that. I generally pay for things for 13 year old DD, but I would be surprised if she spends $5 a week. DS is pretty much on his own, but he does work. I would estimate he spends $15 per week.

Lunch is $2.00 a day and we pay for that. My preteen - he's 12- saves his money. He mows his grandma's and a neighbor's grass to earn money, does extra chores and saves all his birthday money.
On the other hand, my 18 year-old spends every penny. His entertainment expenses vary by the season. He seems to spend more in the winter when there are less outdoor things to do. They also love to buy fast food when they hang-out in groups. They're always hungry.:rolleyes
