I hold to clothing that is slightly too small, meaning I can get into it but its not something that is comfortable to wear and I would defintely NOT leave the house in it. Everything else goes. If/when I don't fit into my current size of clothing, then I'll want to go shopping and buy new anyway. If I had something that was truely one of my favorite pieces of clothing, I would probably hold onto that too, but otherwise, its just taking up valuable closet space and it needs to go. When I met bf I was a size 5 and 6. I went on birthcontol and gained weight. For over 3 years I struggled to lose weight to get from size 8 -9 ,back into my size 5-6. I could never do it,so eventually I gave up and gave them all away.Shortly after I decided to go off the pill and now I'm losing my weight.I might even be able to fit into those jeans I threw away.So now I have to wear a belt with all my jeans because they are all baggy. |

My whole closet is divided into sections of "skinny" clothes, super skinny clothes and the crap I wear now. I know I need to lose about 25 pounds. Just recently I decided to send some of the skinny stuff to goodwill. I figure if I actually get serious and lose the weight, I deserve something new, in style and perfect for me. |

Depends on how much the "skinny jeans" cost originally! How about this....Think consignment, and save for new, current style clothes you can buy with the money you make--after you lose (or don't) the weight

I'm in the same boat. I quit smoking a few months ago, and gained (still gaining?) some weight. Very few of my jeans fit, and my bras give me quadro-boob. I'm holding on to my old clothes just in case. (wishful thinking, maybe )

I just got done doing my annual yard sale and I was so proud of myself for cleaning out my closet. I got rid of much of my wardrobe. I have lost 18lbs (went from a size 8/10 to 6/7) over the past year and I had many clothes that were too big, I have been holding onto them, worried that I would gain the weight back and not have anything to wear. I finally forced myself to put them in my Yard Sale. With that being said.....while digging thru my closet I found a pair of size 5 jeans that fit me once upon a time. I did keep those...hoping that I might be able to drop a few more pounds and fit into my favorite pair of *skinny* jeans.
