My DD just moved up to junior high this year and plays on the softball team. They just finished their fast pitch season this past weekend and my husband mentioned something he thought was a bit different. he had not noticed until the last game and he had not been to every game. The girls gather in a cirlce and pray before they play every game (not the coach, just the girls). I had been to every game, and they did do this at every game, although no other team did it, I thought it was nice. We are small town, all the girls attend church, although not the same church. She has played on younger teams they did not do this. I just wondered if other school teams did this? Just curious, DH says it is unusual and I never really thought about it being unusual until he mentioned it, as my two older girls never played sports.

We have a community member come in a little early before the boys are suppose to be there for football. He does a little prayer and talk. It is opinional. My son goes and enjoys it.
