Need Help with a Gift Idea, please

We got the very exciting news yesterday that my SIL is pregnant. She and my brother were married in May, 1st marriage for each. He is 37 & she is 35, so they were hoping to get pregnant right away - I guess it worked! Anyway, we are thrilled and I want to get a little something for her. I'm not sure what. Not flowers, but what else is special to commemorate this wonderful day? I would love help with this. What would you want?

TIA,
Renee

How about a World's Best Mommy Tshirt she can wear now and after or a big one for during or a mug or something that says she's a Mommy?

How about a baby book so she can start writing in it with details of her pregnancy, pictures of her progression, doctor visits, etc. I know after I had my twins I wished I had gotten one long before they were born because after they were born, there wasn't much time for details!

Maybe put in with it a little note of how you feel and your best wishes for them and the baby.

I was thinking along the lines of mom2twins2. I would get a nice journal for her to write in now and after the baby is born. I kept a journal for both of my DSs. I still write in it occasionally and they are 24 and 27. I'm not sure when they will receive it, but I hope they enjoy reading all about themselves.

Definately a journal or baby book. During my recent pregnancy I had started one.

I vote for "What to Expect when Expecting" it was like a bible to me when I was pregnant.

When my SIL got pregnant I got her a couple of magazine subcriptions for Parenting type magazines. She loved it!

How about a charm bracelet with a charm and then with each milestone the baby makes you can add charms, ie: babys birthday, when it walks and such.

I would get her a gift basket filled with an array of things such as some pampering items like lotions or body sprays along with a relaxing CD and how about throwing in some of the old time craving foods for pregnant gals like pickles for fun. With a big gift basket you can cover all of the bases.

Don't forget to get something for the dad-to-be.

I like the charm bracelet idea too. DH did buy me a pregnancy book 15 years ago, I still have it though forgot the name showed everything from month by month on whats happening to body, excercises to taking care of emergencies , takeing care of cord ect. Never read the what to expect books I scrapbook so didnt do journals themselves
