Washington Mutual went down and was bought by JP Morgan.

A couple of years ago I was depressed because I had no investments now I am happy I don't but my few measly dollars in the bank are in danger possibly.

If I had enough money I would bury it in the backyard like the old timers do.

I guess my new bank will be JP Morgan.

As long as my account stays below $100,000 (pause for laughter) I'm okay right?

I have Wamu too and from what I've read- nothing should change at all for around 6 months. The branches will change to Chase eventually.

I like that I can make a deposit any time during hours and it counts for that day and right away even with check deposits. I could deposit a check and use my debit card right after that. Hopefully that will stay the same.

I assume this affects loans and Credit Cards too right? I think it is kind of funny Chase denied me for a car loan and Wamu gave me one and now its going to be Chase who holds the loan, they can't call the loan in at one time can they? I am a bit worried on that part.

I just found out the guy who was in charge of WAMU for three weeks is receiving about $18 million in bonuses and severances let me repeat AFTER ONLY THREE WEEKS ON THE JOB !!!

No wonder this happens bastardos! Nice work if you can get it... the rest of us work hard and don't get millions of dollars and if our business or work goes down too damn bad for us.

Hey I'll take a job like that it will get me out of debt and a nice cushy savings account, gosh no wonder we are in such a financial state its called GREED !!

I talked to someone about my car loan and they said its fine, but my credit card with them could be closed if they want to close it based on whatever their current guidelines are no biggie its locked up and not being used anymore I had to pull it out and use it in an emergency something I swore I would never do again credit cards but had to so now I will pay it off and be done with it.
