Melamine-Tainted Candy Found In CT - Health News Story - WFSB Hartford


White Rabbit Creamy Candy




HARTFORD, Conn. -- The Department of Consumer Protection warned consumers Wednesday not to eat "White Rabbit Creamy Candy," imported from China and distributed by Queensway Foods Company Inc. of Burlingame, Calif.

The candy was found on several Connecticut store shelves the week of Sept. 29 by agency food safety inspectors and removed, agency Commissioner Jerry Farrell Jr. said. Tests by the Connecticut Agriculture Experiment Station Laboratory have determined that the product contains melamine, he said

I wonder where they sell that stuff, I've never heard of it.
When my kids come home with Halloween candy, I throw away anything - any weird looking candy that's not mainstream. You know that stuff they sell at Dollar Stores that is in clear wrappers and has funny names - all that stuff gets pitched. THey shouldn't sell any candy, treats, juice or ANY food that comes from China - in the USA. If they poison dogs, and put lead in kids toys, who knows what they'll put in candy

I've seen that stuff. You'd get it in Asian grocery stores. I'd stick with Pocky, personally.

China has killed pets with bad pet food, made toys with lead paint, killed their own babies with bad milk. Now candy

Why are US drug companies allowed to have our RX drugs made there???

That scares me!
