Angela Bassett's character.? I think they are making her look like a b*tch now so they can be more dramatic when they humanize her later in the season. That way they can still stir things up but later tone it down. Its good for the drama. or at least I am hoping.

Yeah, I thought the same thing. Something's going to come out in her background that will strike a connection to them - they mentioned that tsunami.

I wonder if everyone's leaving because it's the last season or if it's the last season because everyone's leaving? I don't want it to end!

I missed the season opener (can I watch it on NBC--will have to look). I caught some of last night's episode. I didn't know Pratt had died--what happened? I did see the very end of the show where Angela Bassett went home and sat on the couch. They ended the show zooming in on a picture of her w/her kid and husband. I wonder if that will be it--the reason she's such a B? Have they mentioned them being dead or divorced, etc.? I hate that I missed basically both episodes and I am lost already. I loved this show and have watched it since it began religiously, but I do think it's pretty much time to move on. I wish they'd stop killing everyone off though; guess they need it for the drama. Can't people just move away or change jobs?!

I did read in the T.V. Guide that Mark will be 'coming back' in flashbacks as will his wife Elisabeth, also, Carter will return for a few episodes it said. They weren't sure yet if any of the others will be back though. Also, isn't Mark's daughter one of the interns this year? I haven't seen enough of it to determine if it's her yet or not already on the show. That's what T.V. Guide said anyway.

I miss Mark, episode where he died was so sad!

You can watch full episodes on nbc.com I saw the season opener there after I missed it on TV. Boy, was that a tear jerker!

I fell asleep last night about 1/2 way thru. I like the Angela Bassett character, it's not ER without a character that you love to hate and she's the newest one.

The season opener was a total bawler. I have a feeling I'll be bawling next week when Abby leaves. Looks like I better stockpile some tissues to get thru the rest of the season.

Pratt died from injuries he received in the ambulance explosion at the end of last season.

I will have to watch last nights episode again, but they said something about her being involved with the tsumani in Inonedsia. I that she went and worked there, but I wonder if her husband and son died there maybe?

There were 3 new interns last night. I didn't catch that any of them were Dr. Green's daughter, but I could have missed something.
