I heard on the news tonight (Friday night) that 38 states are very close to running out of unemployment funds! The news said that these states could be out of funds by the end of this year (Dec. 31, 2008). It went on to state that if indeed the states do run out of funds, the federal government will have to step in and 'bail them out'. Their words. Not sure how much more bailing out our government can do. Wow.

California, Michigan, Missouri, New York, Ohio, South Carolina, Wisconsin, Indiana, Kentucky and Arkansas have less than six months' worth of unemployment trust fund reserves.

What is it going to have to take to stop the insanity for this country? I is sad and upsetting to say the least.

It's going to take the government to STOP bailing everyone/everything out and let the economy work like its supposed to. That's probably the only thing that will actually turn us around, but the economy has to hit rock bottom first.
