Question Clothes Vent-Different Size Same Problem

Pants are either a perfect fit in the waist and my butt and legs are swimming in the rest or vice versa-the waist is tight as hell and the rest fits perfectly! What IS a girl to do?

And just because I am big in the lower stomach/spare tire region does not mean I need arm holes three feet in diameter!

Who is making this stuff?

Where can I find jeans that fit everywhere? Where can I find something that fits my somewhat ample bosom, is long enough for nothing to hang out the bottom and does not have armholes the size of Mississippi?
Where can I find petite length sleeves and shoulders in a larger size?

I thought losing weight would solve these problems it seems like I am always "in between sizes" no matter how big or small I am!!! SIGH~

I am with you! I need petite arm length but extra long waist and ample bosom...can't find it. I have to buy shirts in regular sizes (Large usually) and it fits in the chest, is big in the waist and is too long by 3 inches on the sleeves At 5'3", it's rare I can find pants that fit. I am all waist...really. Petites are always too long. Some of my jeans are actually A tall person's capri length pant LOL....then it's closer to the length I need.

Good luck. It's frustrating shopping

I love watching Stacy & Clinton on TLC's What Not to Wear. Their suggestion is to try on lots and lots of different brands until you find one or find the pair that fits closest and have them tailored. I know, it's an expense that most of us don't want to pay but what other options are there?

Wink

A little off the topic, how many people here try clothes on before buying them. I almost never do, I know its not good especially since my weight gain, just wondering. For me personally I am too short and the pants are always too long... Catherine

annadrose - Have you tried a lower cut in pants/jeans or a fabric with some lycra/stretch? I'm thick through the middle and smaller in the butt and hips and I find a mid-rise jean/pant has a pretty good fit for me. What's more, it's comfortable to not have something around my "natural" (naturally fat! LOL ) waistline.

My mother in law tried mens jeans and LOVES them....she has a larger stomach and "bird" legs. She looks good in them.....her legs look long and thin.

I feel your pain. I'm very short 4'11 (and a half) but I'm about a size 14-16, with a very ample bust line. The only jeans that fit me are the ones from Old Navy. They have a large variety of sizes and they come in short length! They also have several different rises available in their jeans....from what my dd calls Mom jeans (higher waist) to the very low rise that my kids seem to favor.

My problem is that I'm so petite in height, but not everywhere else. Petite sizes usually don't go up to my size and women's sizes are huge all over. They laugh at me at Lane Bryant! Even their small sizes swim on me in shirts. I do have some luck with Style & Co. petites at Macy's but not much. Most of their shirts go to a L but not XL. Working on the weight loss but it's slow going.

Any specific brands you wear?

And Toonces I will try Old Navy it's right next to Border's and Trader Joe's I can just go in and try some pants.

I have trouble with lengths. I have really long legs and short body. Usually if I can find pants long enough they are 5xs to big and if they fit me in the waist they are knee length.

Look for 'curvy' fit jeans. I think Old Navy, Anne Taylor Loft and Eddie Bauer have them -- I'm sure there are more, but those are the places I shop. They are one size smaller in the waist than the hips.

Sarah..........

Wouldn't that exacerbate the problem? ...unless I misunderstood the OP.
